Description of 1940 Plymouth Other

Here is what I have. A 1940 Plymouth coupe 3 inch chop, very well done. I bought this car and scrapped the 302 motor in it, located a small journal, 202 head, 327. Took that engine to a reputable builder in McConnellsburg, Pa, Jim Stenger's The Toyer's Shop. Paid for a crank up rebuild, mild cam. Bought a newTCI automatic Transmission, mild stall. Installed engine and trans. Added a painless wiring harness. fuel cell, electric windows. Gauges are vintage VDO never used but all are working fine. Extensive LED light kit installed underneath. Then bought a "Holly Carb". Installed the carb, started breaking in the engine. After engine started to stall found the carb was dumping gas in. rebuild the carb with brass floats, problem persisted. less than 200 miles in engine, parked it and never did anymore. Decided screw the holly carb. I have a new Edelbrock in the box goes withthe car. This car has sat for about two and a half years.I have to many projects, auto and marine and not enough cash or timeso this is my loss and someone else's gain.
Everything under the hood is new and will shine after removing two years of dust. Exterior needs a good cleaning also pictures have pollen ect.... The Passengers door window glass (flat glass) cracked from heat. The passenger windshield glass(flat cut glass, easily replaceable) is cracked from avandal in a passing car I assume.Very cool marbled paint slightlyfaded in a couple of spots. A good painter can and should blend these spots to save the cool ol' school paint jobon it.
Buying the car then adding what I did I am up to about $17,000. With a starting bid of $8,000 this is your chance to have a very cool mild Rod. This car is a head turner with beautiful stock lines a classic front grill only on the 1940 (the 16 pieces of stainless grill trim is worth $400 to $500).
Sold as is. Happy bidding!
