THERE WERE ONLY 171 HARD TOP HEMI CARS BUILT IN 1968. 109 4 SPEED AND 62 WITH AUTOMATIC ON THE COLUMN WITH A BENCH SEAT AND A TWO DOOR HARD TOP 426 HEMI ROADRUNNER. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED MARCH 28 1968 AT BILL BINKO CHRYSLER PLYMOUTH IN FORT LAUDERDALE FLORIDA. THE TOTAL INVOICE AT TIME OF PURCHASE WAS $4. 35. 86 WOW. THIS INCLUDED 426 HEMI. TORQUEFLITE. SURE GRIP. RADIO. SILL MOLDINGS. BELT LINE MOLDING. UNDERCOATING AND RED STREAK TIRES A COPY OF ORIGINAL INVOICE IS STILL IN EXISTENCE AND WILL BE PASSED ON TO THE NEW OWNER. THE CARBURETORS WERE PR0FESSIONALLY REBUILT4 YEARS AGO. HAS COMPLET DATE CODED EXHAUST SYSTEM FROM YEAR ONETHE LAST PAINT JOB WAS DONE IN 1994 LACQUER PAINT. THIS CAR IS IN GREAT SHAPE. I DECIDED NOT TO REPLACE THE TRUNK PANEL TO KEEP ITS ORIGINALITY. THERE IS A TINY PAINT CHIP ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE TRUNK LID. THERE IS A LITTLE SURFACE RUST ON THE RIGHT REAR BOTTOM EDGE OF THE FENDER. ALL THE SHEET METAL AND BUMPERS ON THE CAR ARE ORIGINAL. THE WINDSHIELD HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE DUE TO MILKING. THE REAR MAIN SEAL HAS AN OIL LEAK. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES WELL. THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION DATE CODE IS 10/27/1967. THE DIFFERENTIAL WAS ORDERED WITH A DANA BUT THE CAR CAME WITH AN 8 3/4. THE ORIGINAL OWNER COMPLAINED AND THE DEALER INSTALLED THE FACTORY DANA. I DID HAVE THE PAPERWORK FOR THIS BUT IT HAS BEEN LOST OVER THE YEARS. THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER IS AN AFTERMARKET THAT HAS BEEN ON THE CAR FOR MANY YEARS. IN 1974 WE UPGRADED THE IGNITION SYSTEM TO THE CHRYSLER ELECTRONIC IGNITION. THE ALTENATOR WAS UPGRADED TO A DUAL FIELD. I RECENTLY INSTALLED A NEW CLUTCH FAN. BLADE AND WATER PUMP PULLEY. INSTALLED NEW UNDER DASH WIRING AND ENGINE COMPARTMENT HARRNESS.
