Description of 1970 Plymouth Superbird

Same owner the last 30 years! Real superbird that is listed in registry. Factory colors, vin # matched 4-speed, replacement 440 motor, original Dana 60 rear end. The vin on the core support, dash, door sticker and fender tag all match each other.
EXTERIOR: The whole body is straight and smooth, has a very polished Sublime green paint. This is the color it was born. The doors, fenders, cowl and trunk fit very nicely. The nose cone is in excellent shape, vacuum headlight doors work. Jambs are clean, weatherstrips were replaced. Vinyl top is brand new. Rear bumper is rechromed. It has reproduction Polyglass GT tires on new looking 15 inch rallye wheels. The whole concept behind the Superbird was aerodynamics. The most obvious is the nose cone and the tallest wing ever put on a production car. It also uses stainless trim covers on the windshield pillars, scoops on top of each fender and a flush mount rear window.
INTERIOR: Very nicely restored. The owner has the original bench seat that came with the car. He has installed buckets with brand new cushions and upholstery, also a new factory console. It has it's original pistol grip shifter. Carpet is new as well as a set of embroidered Superbird floor mats. The instrument panel is very nice, not broken. Has original radio. Gauges were restored, has tachometer. Clock works. Has a minor crack in the dash pad. The rear seat is is in excellent shape. The door panels and armrests are excellent. All the black metal has been repainted.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is clean metal, painted the same glossy Sublime green. It does he have the fender tag attached. The wiring and vacuum lines are run neatly. It is a correct replacement 440. The motor itself looks fresh, painted nicely. It has stock manifolds. The dual snorkel air cleaner is restored with crinkle finish paint and a new Super Commando pie tin. It also has an Edelbrock carb and looks like a new billet distributor. Alternator looks new, it features power steering and power brakes. It all looks proper and tidy.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid, painted green. Not overly detailed but good. It does have a new mat and car cover. Both jacks are there, it has a separate scissor jack for the front bumper.
UNDERSIDE: The floors, frame rails look like clean metal. The factory ribs, drain holes are clean. Upfront it has disc brakes. Shocks look new. Bottom of the motor is clean. It has it's original vin # matched 4-speed trans. Original Dana 60 rear with 3.54 gears. Exhaust looks recent.
Arguably the wildest looking muscle car car of all time. They couldn't sell them when new because they were over the top. Now they are among the most desirable. Great investment.
