Description of 1938 Plymouth Business Coupe Mild Custom Lowered Dual Exhaust 5 spd Old School

1938 PLYMOUTH BUSINESS COUPE

Fun little Mild Custom Cruiser
Running, driving, and registered through Mar 2023 with a clear CA title.
This pre-war coupe features upgrades/updates to the drive-train for maximum reliability around town and on the highway but still retains it's vintage vibe.

The engine is a strong running, a little later model, Chrysler 230ci Flathead Inline Six. Starts right and does not smoke or miss. The engine also has an original polished Edmunds dual carburetor aluminum intake manifold. Also adding in the update department, it the true split exhaust manild and dual exhaust all the way out the back.
This backed by GM T5 5 speed manual over-drive transmission.Runs cool, doesn't overheat, or heat soak at shut off.

Original hydraulic brakes handle the stopping duties. original steering box is smooth and easy to handle. This cruiser rolls on 16 inch Mopar Artillery wheels wrapped in 6.00-16 Firestone DeLuxe Champion wide white wall tires.
Great looking classic metalflake color on this iconic body style. While it has it's imperfections the paint is still very presentable for a driver. Please see the over 150 photos below to get a better idea of the car's cosmetic condition.
Overall this car starts, runs, drives, and stops as it should. Better than most of any it's same age with similar drivetrain. It cruises effortlessly (albeit slowly) around town and can cruise down the freeway at 60mph +.

MiscCar is largely re-wired 12 volt with some items still needing attention. Car has headlights, taillights, rear turn signals, and a horn. After market Stewart Warner winged oil pressure and temp gauges.Speedometer not currently operational. No HeaterDash gauges and speedometer not hooked up.Seat is in fair condition, could use rehab, sagging springs/foam.
California year of make plates are registered to the car. These plates will NOT be included if sold out of state.
