Up for sale is my 1968 Pontiac GTO. I like to be as descriptive as possible with my listings. This is a very solid, unning/driving GTO, ut it needs restoration. Can be a driver as is but needs TLC. Car is very clean underneath, reviously titled in California. Was repainted over 14 years ago, feel it was a poor job, ot of overspray, tc. Looks good from 20 feet, urns a lot of heads, ut to me it's a crappy paint job. Correct Solar Red with black vinyl top, lack interior. Interior is mostly original except for a past owner applied a repo decal to the dash that is starting to peel. Dash is UNCUT and has one small crack, therwise looks very good. Has stock AM radio with reverb option (does not work but have never tried to figure out why) Rare automatic on the column, are bench seat. This is a real 242 GTO, ot a LeMans or Tempest clone. Originally had A/C, ut missing several parts. Carpet very good, oor panels excellent, rm rests show some wear. Rear seat excellent, ront seat 7 out of 10? Headliner very good. Car still has the correct original numbers-matching 400-4 YS with 16 heads and Turbo 400 has partial VIN on tag. Original open rear also, nd car actually gets very good highway mileage. Has hood tach that works but I do not think it is original to car. Car starts instantly, dles perfectly, uns very good but has some leaks. has headers and dumps, ut I will include a brand new set of Ram Air restorations factory RA exhaust manifolds with the car. Sounds very nice with current setup and not loud as to attract attention. Has hide-a-ways that stay up, nd they used to work perfectly with the switch, ut something happened that I have not investigated, o they stay up unless you manually lower them (most of these cars it's the exact opposite) Has rally2 wheels, ery good center caps, as wrong air cleaner and valve covers but I do have a set of GTO valve covers I will include with the car. Shifts very strong (bark into 2nd) and will smoke the tires if you stand on it, as a little hesitation sometimes that can probably easily be corrected with carb tuning. Every once in awhile the starter grinds but the next try will catch and start right up. No hot-start issues at all, tarts right back up when shut off hot. Have had no issues with overheating, tc. Has soft-ray glass, ower steering, ower brakes, lock. Have PHS docs and some previous owner receipts. I had bought this GTO for my wife and intended to restore it but we have way too many cars and I need space. (I own several GTOs) Car has what I think is a very reasonable reserve and keep in mind the car runs and drives and is all there. never going to be a high-dollar model but is nice enough to save or drive as is. The trunk is solid, he floor pans are amazing, t's just that crappy paint job. Hood is has some minor kinks, ar appears to never have been a rust bucket, eally is very clean frame and undersides. Does have typical small rust bubbles under the top but the top is in very nice condition. Is a great cruise-night car and turns heads. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction at any time. Please do not bid if you have zero feedback, lease contact me first. I have excellent seller feedback and have been an Ebay member for more than 12 years. Great GTO for not a lot of money, see what people are getting for junk.
