I have a rare opportunity from my transporter friend who is looking for a load going down south after holiday weekend. So I will ship this car to future owner if they are along the route between Grand Island, eb. to San Antonio, X.
I'm selling my 1939 Pontiac 2dr Sedan is about 95% complete and 100% original. It has spent 73 of its 75 years in Colorado. I have all the original documents from original owner and state of Colorado paper work all from 1939.
The car has above average body is fairly straight and solid body/frame/floors as it has never sat out in the fields or even in a barn it has been garaged when not driven.
It has the complete original unmolested never removed drive train. The engine is the silver streak flathead 6 does turn by hand with spark plugs out feels free and has good enough compression to make turning by hand with plugs in a lot tougher. Could probably be fired up in a weekends time if your knowledgeable with old 6 volt systems.
Everything is sitting just as seen in pictures. When the interior was disassembled everything has been bagged and labeled and boxed up. The cloth from seats and doors and floor mat were removed to keep moisture and pests out of car.
I have most of the glass and ALL of the regulators and hardware to the glass. A NEW COMPLETE glass kit for the COMPLETE car is less than $400 see posted ad in pics.
This car was parked in garage in 1969 because of a broken steering gear caused small amount of damage seen in pics to passenger ft fender. The owner then purchased a new car and parked and had a few repairs done but never fixed steering gear. other than that amount of work done to car it has never been touched or been rat rodded, ot rodded, odified, r restored so you don't have to worry about hack work or layers of paint. Please remember this car is a PROJECT does not run or drive steer or brake.
Would be a Great winter time family project to have something next summer to cruise in or go to car shows in.
There were only 54,000 Pontiacs 2 dr sedans were produced in 1939 and less than half are the 25 series or short wheel base 115 inches which this is one of. Chevrolet produced over 200,000 in 1939 and many reproduction parts will interchange.
