Description of 1972 Pontiac Le Mans

Here's your chance to purchase a very unique car. The clean Pontiac started out as an '72 Lemans Post coupe with 350 engine, nbsp;approximately 15 years ago the car was bought in California, till has all original body panels and paint, verall survivor appearance. Vehicles like this don't come around very often. The car was purchased to be a Pure Stock Race car, o the transformation began. The car was to become a duplicate of a 1971 Pontiac T37 455 HO car, hich only 11 were factory built, automatics and 7 stick cars. Only a couple of them are known to exist today.I bought the car with no engine but it came with a fresh professionally rebuilt turbo 400 transmission and 12 bolt saf-t-track rear end with 3.73 gears and Moser axles. Boxed lower control arms and rear sway bar. The front suspension is all redone and detailed, all joints, ushings, hocks etc. Engine compartment is clean and detailed. I had a 455 professionally built and dyno'd for the car. My intention was for performance and street use, o there is no race only components on the car, his is a driver. The 455 is a 1970 4 bolt main block bored .030 over with new pistons and performance rods, actory 197 round port heads with all new stainless valves and springs etc., unati cam, ntake is factory aluminum, ew cast iron headers, ith 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent exhaust, ounds awesome. I even found an NOS q-jet and had it rebuilt with modern internals and even had bushings put in for the throttle shafts. The car made outstanding torque and horsepower numbers 437 hp @ 4,900 rpm's and 538 ft/lbs torque @ 3,400 rpm's. See dyno sheet. The car starts, uns, nd drives excellent. I believe I put less than 300 miles on it, n 3 years. I just don't have the time any more and have made a personal decision to get out of the car hobby. The interior of this car is outstanding, o cracks in the dash or steering wheel, eats, arpet, eadliner are perfect. Real clean low mile survivor. Never smoked in. Ash tray and lighter never used. Low optioned car, M radio, actory in dash tach and gauges, ower steering. The rims are new reproduction 14" x 7" with new Firestone Wide Oval Bias ply tires and matching spare. Jack and components all in the trunk. The bumpers shine nice, ike new, ut are original. Grilles have been changed to be correct for '71 T37. This is just a real cool unique car, ith perhaps one of the best engines Pontiac ever produced.I am including my phone number but PLEASE serious buyers only. I know it's fun to talk car's and learn something new or talk about something old you had in the past but my time is important and frankly don't want to waste it with tire kickers. I have all positive feedback going on well over 10 years, o please check that before questioning me and my knowledge. The car is sold as is and where is. The buyer is reasonable for transporting fees. I can and will assist by making myself available if a shipper is required. I believe in constant communication and cooperation with a transaction like this. Terms will be cash in person or bank wire transfer, o checks. (616) 897-6503 Steve
When you do the math on the cost of purchasing and building a car exactly like this, ou will not be able to duplicate it for my Buy it Now price. This is a turn key car.
