Description of 1956 Pontiac CHIEFTAN/STARCHIEF FAUX CONVERTIBLE

I have too many projects! I will never get them all done. I have elected to sell one or more to help finish others.
This is a 1956 Pontiac 4dr hardtop that we cut the top off of. The top was real rusty. Now it is a full time convertible. There is no top. I do still have the top, if you want it. It was the worst part of the whole car. This car, being a hardtop, has an X frame under it, much like a convertibl, for support.
There is rust in the bottom of the rear doors. We are treating it with Ospho, rust killer, and are going to patch them up using tape and "kitty hair". It should look pretty good!
There is no engine or trans. The guy I got it from took it in to have it rebuilt. When he did not hear from the shop, he stopped by there, to find they had gone out of business. The new owner, of the property scrapped his motor. Now it is a good candidate for a small block Chevy!
The interior has been redone, a while back. The seats are decent as is the carpet. The door panels are missing. There are two, green, Starchief, front door panels present.
The door windows are present, the front passenger glass is all cracked, and they go up and down. We cant get the L/R door to open. I think the lock is not disengaging.
We gave the old gal a "Hot Rod" paint job in Tan and white. We polished up the chrome and reassembled the car. There are couple of small dents.
The trunk compartment is rust free as are the floors.
The rear bumper is missing as well as a few little trim pieces.
We just installed the used radial tires. They are in good shape. It has a very nice set of 1955 Pontiac hubcaps {barn find} and a set of fiberglass fender skirts.
I am asking $1250. I have that much in it. Please don't make lowball offers. It can be parted out for more than that, although it would take a while, and I would hate to do that to her!
Anyway this is your chance to use that late model running gear that you have sitting around. It would make a great project! Put in a Rat Motor with a Nova or Camaro sub frame.
The rear suspension has lowering blocks already giving it an "angry" stance! It looks cool!
I have included some of my other projects as well. A 56 Bel Air convertible project with a lot done and a lot of new parts $25K, 56 Starchief convertible a lot done already $16,500, a 1972 Chevy Nova done 350 4spd $25K and a 1931 Model A roadster pickup 350 4spd $15,900 or a 64 GMC panel V6 at $3500!!
I live in Sothern California, in Nipomo about 90 miles North of Santa Barbara and 10 miles South of Pismo Beach. I have a car trailer and can deliver her up to 200 miles, or so, for $1/mile round trip, after it is paid for.
Thanks for looking!
Blessings!
