Description of 1972 Pontiac Ventura

I am sure the pictures have everyone scratching their head a bit. I wanted something that no one else had. looked and drove like a muscle car and was as efficient and powerful as a newer car. This car is the result of a 2 year frame off. complete nut & bolt restoration. Everything on this car was rebuilt. replaced or upgraded. Started life as a very clean original 1972 Pontiac Ventura. very minimal repairs needed and a few custom panels were added. The front end was reshaped using a Camaro bumper and lower valence to give it a more clean aggressive appearance. The grill is custom made to fit the added Astra headlight panel. A euro turnsignal healight was added to highlight the lower driving lights. In the rear a Nova tail panel was added to reduce the tail light size and add a cleaner look. The fuel filler was added to the valance and a custom real valence was added to pull it all together. The body was assembled after being stripped. sealed and painted. No panels needed replacement from the original car and the body was very straight from the start. The subframe was removed. blasted and powder coated along with all the suspension pieces. All new joints and bushings were added along with a Hotchkis front and rear sway bars. The 10 inch rearend was rebuilt with a posi unit added along with all new bearings and seals and 4 wheels disc brakes were added along with a new booster pro-valve and brake lines(hard & soft). The car sits on 17 inch Ridler wheels with low profile Cooper Performance tires. The LT1 motor and 6 speed trembec was picked out of a 1994 donor with 26k miles and a some messed up body work. The motor was completely dissassembled and refreshed along with a cam replacement and new water pump pieces. The clutch was replaced and updated and hydrolics were added to the car for the new manual trans. A custom driveshaft was fitted to the car to connect the rear ro the new 6 speed trans. Everything was connected to the car with a re-programmed computer module that was custom programmed to retro out alot of the post 1972 equipment. Headers were added and connected to a really nice stainless exhaust. A dual fan heavy duty radiator unit keeps everything cool. Added to the engine compartment is a new Vintage Air unit that allowed the firewall to be smoothed. which really cleaned up the area. The cold air blows into the factory vents of the Ventura's interior that was updated with electric bucket front seats and super cool split rear seats. The dash panel is a custom piece with digital gauges in a clean billet panel. The steering column is an updated unit with a matching aluminum wheel. The surrounding interior is new and much more OEM to keep it simple. The car with all these pieces added together has created an awesome machine that is way too much fun to drive. I am sure that I left out something or alot of things but the pictures really show the detail that has been applied to this car. The power is unreal with the fuel injected LT1 and the overall performance is even better. Nothing was spared in this build and everything works together perfectly.
