Description for Pontiac GTO 1966

What we have is a nut & bolt restoration. We started with a very good body the restoration had been started before we bought it. after taking the body off we sent it the painter in June of 2013 fast forward 1 1/2 years so we went to get the car. When we got the car we were shocked to see it was was not compleat painted. The car was in great shape before we started just a few pinholes in only two spots. The paint he did is by no means a Barrette-Jackson car its more of a 10ft. paint job. the shell. hood and trunk are painted the two door & fender are not painted. There is some orange on the roof. -3 runs in paint and little specks in the paint. We wet sanded an area and it looks pretty good but not the show quality I was looking for and the wife is pissed and says sell it. So here we go I have the balance of paint to finish about 3/4 gallon. The interior is is brand new in the box seat covers. ew foam for seats. oor panels. headliner and carpet. New exhaust and mufflers. ll the body trim is in great shape. The interior is all there arm rest. eat belts etc. is there. The engine is a 400ci and a 400 trans are both from a 1976 Firebird. AS you can see from the pictures we took the chassis to bare metal and detailed it. reworked all the lines. rakes. ody mounts. I have all the glassand it is great shap except the front windsheild some how it got a crack in it. I called a local glass shop and they said under $200. 00 If you have any questions please ask. This will make a great project to do for someone in the world of nut & bolt restoration this would be a easy to complete. Please look at all the pictures. The car is for sale local and auction my end early. On Jan-18-15 at 02:14:04 PST. seller added the following information:I want to be clear this is not a GTO the car is a tempest with a bench seat. the paint is not compleat and it is not a high quality paint job more of an average one. I just to make it clear this is a tempest. The drivetrain is out of a 1976 firebird.
