Description of 1980 Pontiac Trans Am Pace Car

1980 Pontiac Trans Am Pace Car. This is a true survivor car bought new here in Omaha Nebraska to some folks in Norfolk Ne. Where it has spent it's entire two owner life. This is a very heavy loaded up car to include but not limited to... 301 CI motor with turbo, automatic transmission, air conditioning, power windows, power locks, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, 4 wheel disc brakes, am/ fm stereo cassette delco, mirrored t-top glass, factory tinted glass, Pace car package, 308 posi trac with rear sway bars, origional dual exhaust including dual chrome tips, (T-top bags and original radio are included), heavy duty alternator (70 amp), turbo aluminum wheels with original goodyear style tires at 75-80% tread.
This car will need some things to amp it up to car show material. That being said.... It does run but will need to be trailored. It has a noise in the motor that I had a mechanic look at. His determination was that it was a collapsed lifter from sitting. I welcome you to bring your own mechanic if you like to assess the noise. These were not one of pontiac's best motors, but it is 100% original to the car for the numbers matching guys out there. I do have a 1978 Pontiac 400 in running condition that can be purchased for an extra $500 with the purchase of the car. I personally would put the 400 in it and keep the other if I sold it.
The rear seat and the rear package tray will both need to be recovered and replaced as a mouse seemed to enjoy eating there at one point in its life. I purchased the car for an employee of mine that is a Trans am fanatic, and he simply can't get the money. I would keep it myself, but just purchased another airplane and wife says some of the toys need to find a new home.
Please do not bid on this car unless your intention is to take it and give it a good home. Also, i welcome any phone calls or questions that I may answer or if you want more pics please ask. Thank you for taking the time .
