Description of 1972 Pontiac Other Ventura II

In early 1970. GM decided to create a new X-Body series car to compete with the compact car market. The new series was called the NOVA series. It involved four GM divisions. "N" for Chevrolet Nova. "O" for Oldsmobile Omega. "V" for Pontiac Ventura and "A" for Buick Apollo. This new X-body designed also included a Unibody (AKA sub-frame) that could easily be repaired in the event of any front end damage. The X-Body cars were similar in concept as the First Generation Firebird's and Camaro's. plus the curb weight is about the same. Most X-bodies were 2 door sedans. except they had some four door sedans and all were post cars. Special Note: The second generation Firebird's and Camaro's are 200 to 600 pounds heavier curb weight on the average than the NOVA Series car making the Nova cars much faster with the same factory equipment available at the time. I see this 1972 as having many options to restore or modify. Restore to original. Build a real cool muscle car. Make a cool restomod. A father-son-daughter-mother-project car. Just to name a few. The Ventura looks great from 10 feet away. The front clip is good and incorporates that cool old school louvered hood. The doors are good and mechanically sound. but does not have the door interior panels. The front high back bucket seats are of original concept. but they are replacing a bench seat and they need further attaching to floor. The buckets will need to be recovered. The rear seat along with the quarter arm rests and side panels are nice. The headliner is still intact including the sunvisors. The dash is good and the dash pad is not cracked. but has a spot of vinyl covering missing about the size of a nickel that is hidden when the passenger door is closed. The Interior floors are solid. as well as. the frame and sub-frame. The steering wheel is aftermarket. nd horn does not work. Trunk floor is straight. but has same rust holes. but can easily be fiber glassed to look and perform good or install new floor pan. Trunk lid operates as should and is in good condition. There are a few rust hole issues where trunk seals attach. The body is straight and has not had any major damage as viewed by to this author. The Vinyl top needs replacing. The paint job is not good and was prepared wrong before applying paint. There are some bubbling and a few rust spots. The glass is good. The motor runs good. the transmission shifts OK. the brakes are manual and need pads. the power steering needs a pump or adjustment. The tires are good on the rear and have about 40% rubber on the front. The wheels are 14" Camaro rally's. There are some parts that go with the Ventura as pictured. Car must be trailered. but will load easily on car hauler. The rear bumper has a few dents. The Ventura has about $4500. 00 in parts and I hate to part it out. as it is getting to be a very rare Car. My Price guide lines show this CAR to be a #4 car valued at about $4400. 00. a #3 car is valued at $8500. 00 and a #2 car at $16000. 00 PLUS Pending on how extensive the Restomad or Restoration has been done. The X-Bodies are one of the coolest designs by GM and I get thumbs up by passer-bys all the time. The Ventura has a clear Oregon Lien title. NOTE::: I HAVE SET A LOW RESERVE PRICE.
