1949 Pontiac Chieftain Silver Streak Deluxe 8 sedan. This time capsule has 94,000 original miles and only two owners from new. Was stored and driven sparingly in a collection that is now being sold off for health reasons. Car is mostly original and runs and drives excellent. Rust free California vehicle from new, it has had one repaint in the factory colors of Sage Green over Wellington Green. Interior is gray. Seats have been recovered, with after market carpeting and original headliner. All chrome and factory pieces are believed to be present and in very good condition, to include fender skirts. This Chieftain has the optional 248 cubic inch Silver Streak, side valve, L Head straight eight motor. Original six volt electric still in place, with a four spead hydromatic gearbox. Has hydrolic brakes and newer Firestone wide white polyglas tires (matching spare in trunk). This car has been lovingly stored and maintained its entire life. It is a mostly original car with exception to seats, one older repaint and mechanical items being replaced as needed to ensure safe drivability. This Chieftain can be driven and enjoyed immediately. Car can be viewed in Fresno, CA by appointment prior to auction's end. A $500 deposit required within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment, in cash or wire transfer, within seven days unless otherwise agreed. Seller can help with loading but buyer to arrange transportation and shipping.
