Description of 1966 Pontiac Le Mans

You are looking at a 4 year labor of love. I started with a local car that was owned by a woman who had bought it locally in 1966 and drove it as her daily driver until some time in the '80's. Her neighbor bought it from her, when she could no longer drive. The car was then dark green w a 6 cyl and 2-spd auto. It had 42000 miles! I bought the car from the neighbor. Original plan was to do a power train swap and drive as-is. This build started out w a body and frame that had very little rust/repair issues, making it the perfect candidate for going crazy. One thing lead to another, and thus this no expense spared build. This was the ultimate father/son project culminating in the Hot Rod Power Tour, when my son graduated high school in 2010. We did 4500 miles together over 10 days. Why sell it? My kids are out of the house, I do track days in a BMW race car and a 911, and this car rarely gets used due to my other interests. I'd like to free up the space, and some cash to move onto a new project. Its just simply time to go.

The car has only two flaws that I can think of, a scratch on the passenger side glass, and a slight crack in the chrome at the mounting bolt on the front bumper, so I am including a new rechromed front bumper w the sale. Also included are all records from the build, tuning software/info, and assorted items like oil filters, etc.
This car won Best Engine at GTOAA Nationals. Took third in class at Nationals WHILE STILL IN Primer! Was featured in Home Town Hero's edition of Popular Hot Rodding. Was photographed in the front row of 2010 Power Tour. World of Wheels Outstanding in Class. All pictures, awards, articles, go with the car, if you'd like.
Car runs great and draws a crowd anywhere you go. I hope you'll use it like we did, see the country in it!
