Description of 1971 Pontiac Firebird

We have this 1971 Formula 400 Firebird in good running and driving condition. The transmission leaks a little but nothing major. This car has the small block 400 and is a true formula. Car has after market wheels and tires, the chrome on the wheels are pitting and will need to be redone to be perfect or just leave polish and enjoy. The car has a lot of patch work done to the floors and the trunk. The truck does not have any holes, and the water was from the trunk seal not sealing right when we washed the car. We have moved the car to a covered area to help prevent this from happening again. The work was not done the greatest and you will either need to redo the work to make it a show car, or just enjoy it. The floors and truck are solid, but you can tell the work was done. The fenders were also changed at one point. We just replaced the hood hinges as someone closed the hood and damaged the other ones. We have a couple tweaks to make to the hood to make it align better and this will be done before the close of this auction. The paint is showing its age and need some attention to make it perfect again. You can see where the hood has a chip in the paint from where someone closed it the wrong way. These cars are getting harder to find and would make a great car to just drive or even restore the proper way and make it perfect. The interior is in ok shape, the dash is cracked on the passenger side, and is missing the radio. Car sounds great when running and has dual exhaust, with a Edelbrock carb. There are a couple gauges that do not work, but should be a easy fix. The RPM does not work and the fuel gauge does not work. If you have any questions please contact us before the end of the auction. Car shows 32k on the dash but I think this is 132k.
