Description of 1965 Pontiac Le Mans Convertible

1965 Pontiac LeMans Convertible

You only have a few chances in life to go after the one you love that you let go. For the collector who owns this car, a 1965 LeMans Convertible was the car he courted his wife with and drove around for a few years as they were dating. As life moved on, he regrettably sold their prized convertible LeMans to buy a van to fit his needs when he was renovating their home. He never forgot about that car and vowed to one day buy another blue on blue convertible. It took him 38 years to find the perfect car, this car. When he had seen this Pontiac in 2014, he knew it was fate and was not going to leave without buying it. He found his long lost love of years gone past. Now several years later, he sadly has to sell due to health reasons. It is now your chance to be the care taker of a car that was so loved.

This LeMans was originally purchased on June 9th, 1965 at Esler Pontiac in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. It is in remarkable condition and is mostly original to boot. The body is very straight and retains its original sheet metal. The paint was done a few years back (original color) but still shows extremely well with only a few normal rock chips from being driven, as you would expect. The chrome and trim are in excellent shape. The engine compartment was kept in original clean condition to keep this an honest survivor car. The underside is the same, clean and original. Even the interior is original including the carpet. New seat foam was installed in the original seats but the covers are factory still. The white convertible top is new. This Pontiac looks as nice in person as it does in these pictures. It is a numbers matching car from the engine, to the transmission, and the rear.

Mechanically, this car is sound as well. You would be able to drive it from South Carolina to anywhere in the country with confidence. The owner is the type of guy who likes to use and enjoy his toys so they have to be in top working condition. The following work was done in the last couple years to make sure he can drive it anywhere without hesitation:

All new Brake Lines, New Wheel Cylinders & Bracket Clips, New Gas Tank & Gas Sending Unit, New Fuel Line, New Fuel Pump, Complete Major Tune-Up, Changed to Electronic Ignition (still have the original distributor), New Upper & Lower Ball Joints, New Idler Arm, New Control Arm, New Front & Rear Coil Springs with Air Shocks in the Rear, New Dual Aluminized Complete Exhaust System, New Water Pump, New Heavy Duty Radiator, All New Body Mounts, All New Bushings in Front End & Rear Control Arm Bushings, Transmission Completely Rebuilt, Engine pulled for New Front & Rear Main Seals, New Oil Pan Gasket, Two (2) New Motor Mounts Installed, New Valve Cover Gaskets, New Foam Installed on Bucket & Rear Seats, New Convertible Top, Installed CD Player Hidden in Glove Box with AM/FM Radio with Alpine Speakers Hidden under the Dash.
