Description of 1978 Pontiac Trans Am

You are bidding on a genuine, 1978 Y82 Special Edition Trans Am. The "Bandit Car" as they are known. This is a Y82, W72, WS6 car with Hurst T-Tops, Cruise Control, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Air Conditioning, AM/FM Tape player, Velour upholstery. The 400 Pontiac V8 is numbers matching, transmission is not, posi-rear axle is original. The car runs and drives but it will need a restoration. I do have the original 15x8 gold snowflake wheels [the all gold original ones.... the ones one there are not the originals but will come with the car] that were part of the WS6 package. Radio is not installed but comes with it as do the A/C lines. I have a large paper package with the car: original owners manual, warranty card, tire/ spare/ and catalytic converter info sheets, window sticker and buildsheet. Also, I have the PHS package to back all this up. With that, I ordered a laminated reproduction window sticker too. It is going to need metal work. The driver's side fender will need to be replaced as will the driver's side door. Those are bolt on. The other parts that will need repair are the rear inner tail panel, and the driver's side rear frame rail will need to be replaced by the shackle area due to rot. Floor pans were replaced before I got the car and they did a decent job.
This car is THE one to restore. Numbers matching 400 V8, positraction rear axle, loaded with options, tons of real, factory paperwork. This is a real Y82 car with Hurst T-Tops to boot!! This a great investment. It's a car that'll be worth it in the end. The car has a clear Registration from Alabama. That's what you'll use to register it/title it in your state.
