Description of 1965 Pontiac GTO

With great reluctance, my 1965 GTO Convertible is for sale. I had this car with the plan of keeping it forever, and so put the best of everything into this car.I started with a solid, rust free body. This car has the original floors, quarters, trunk, rockers etc! This was NOT a rusty derelict that had been exposed to the weather for decades. This was a garage kept beauty, saved from the elements. That in itself is so rare now days! This car comes with the PHS documentation and window sticker too.
This is a partial list of the new parts that have been put on the car.Completely rebuilt WT 1965 dated engine with the best of everything including Keith Black pistons, roller rockers, #77 heads with rocker studs, and everything else of the very best qualityNew starter, alternator, voltage regulator, horn relay, radiator, hoses, master cylinder and brake booster, etcNew 1965 date coded tripower with rebuilt/replaced carbs and the big insulators to prevent percolation when driving in the summerNew high performance steering boxNew under hood wiring harnessCompletely rebuilt Muncie 4 speed with the Hurst shifterNew flywheel, clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing.New driveshaft and u jointsNew rear axle seals, brakes, polyurethane bushings, etc.New polyurethane front suspension, disc brakes, bushings sway bar, idler arm, center link and ball jointsNew Chrome bumpersNew Coker redlines mounted on new Rally 2 chrome wheels with correct centers and lug nutsNew paintNew seat covers, seat foam, door panels, dash pad and carpetProper parchment paint above door and quarter panelsRally1 spare with redline tireNew top, top motor, top cylinders, lines, top well and top weatherstripNew top bootNew windshieldNew trunk and door gaskets and fuzziesNew custon Auto Sound stereo with dual in dash speakersMost new bolts for front end sheet metal parts and interiorNew gas tank sending unitNew wood steering wheelNew exhaust including splittersVisor vanity mirror "Pontiac"Tons of little nos and new partsThis car even has a dark blue NOS leather key fob from a local Pontiac dealer at the time
The car has the following options, some added when restored;Tri PowerTilt WheelWood wheel4 speed from the factoryWindshield washerback up lampsPontiac tissue holder5n on firewall
I had a console installed and will include it in the sale as well. It is not currently installed. The car runs and drives better than new and has had the bugs worked out of it. The clock does not work, and the car needs a fresh buffing. As far as I know everything else is in top notch shape. I drive it regularly in the fair weather, but we got 3 inches of snow just yesterday. Pictures were all taken today. This is a real Tiger!
I have owned this car for about 15 years and have used it very sparingly. It drives just as it should and the better ratio steering box really makes a difference. I have enjoyed this car but now find that with retirement and health issues, it is time to let it go. Please feel free to inspect this car or ask any question that you may have. I have a current Utah title for the car, in my name. I have extensive undercarriage photos as well. Ask me and I will send them. Please no photo collectors.
I will sell the car to the highest bidder above my very realistic reserve. This car could not be duplicated without spending far, far more than my reserve. Please keep in mind that this car has its original floors, trunk pan, quarters, rockers, fenders and has never been in an accident. So unusual for a 50 year old car!The car is sold where is and as is without any warranty. There are no returns.
THE ONE PUDDLE SHOWN IN MULTIPLE PICTURES WAS FROM THE TIRE CLEANER WHEN I CLEANED THE TIRES THIS MORNING. I AM NOT AWARE OF ANY LEAKS

THERE IS NOTHING LEFT TO DO BUT ENJOY!
