Description of 1981 Pontiac Trans Am

Up for auction is a 1981 Trans Am Daytona with the optional Recaro interior. This car has just been removed from 20 year dry storage. This is a project car that will need to be restored. I have started the engine and it will run with no smoke or strange noises. The car is not road worthy and will need a mechanical restoration as well as a cosmetic restoration. The interior has held up very well. The body is straight and rust free. The areas in the pictures around the back glass have been sanded before the car was put in storage and are very solid it looks worse than it is. The picture of the bottom corner of the door looks like it had been bent and straightened and then touched up and that's not rust. The car is very complete and will make a nice car for the right person. If you would like to take a look before bidding that can be arranged and is encouraged. According to NC DMV records this is a one owner car with original miles. I am selling this car for my mother. It belonged to my father who was a NC car dealer for over 50 years. It will be sold with a clear NC title with a bill of sale and a reassignment from us to the next owner and it can be easily transferred.
