WOW EARLY 1964 GTO CONVERTIBLE RESTORATION PROJECT !!!
A TRUE GARAGE FIND ! NOT MANY OF THESE LEFT TO BE FOUND. HAS BEEN OFF THE ROAD AND GARAGE KEPT SINCE 1982 !!!!
SPEEDOMETER IS SHOWING ONLY 30,000 MILES
I BOUGHT THIS CAR 3 YEARS AGO WITH THE INTENTION OF RESTORING IT. AS SHE IS A VERY RARE AND UNIQUE GTO.
I JUST RECEIVED THE PHS REPORT VIA E-MAIL AND I AM AWAITING THE PACKET THAT THEY SHOULD BE MAILING OUT TO ME. I DO HAVE THE REPORT SENT TO ME VIA E-MAIL. I'M A MUSTANG NUT AND I WAS HOPING FOR A SIMPLE CONCISE REPORT LIKE A "MARTI" REPORT FOR MUSTANGS. HOPEFULLY IT'S IN THE MAIL TO ME WITH MORE INFO SUCH AS JUST HOW RARE THIS CAR MIGHT BE.
HERE IS WHAT I KNOW FROM THE REPORT.

FIRST OFF SHE IS A LEGITIMATE "TRIPLE BLACK CAR" ORIGINAL COLOR CODE "A" STARLIGHT BLACK WITH BLACK INTERIOR AND BLACK TOP.
a few people have already asked if this is the original motor and trans to this car ie is this a numbers matching car. with what I can see with the motor in the car yes I believe it to be a numbers matching car. I'm only going by what I've been reading over the past few days about Pontiac blocks and trans.I've just added some pictures of the vin numbers that I found on the block as well as on the water pump and water pump neck which I believ is unique to this car.
date code found on the back of the engine near the distributor.
Date code Reads L1063 L= Dec 10 is the date 63 is the year so 12/10/63 for engine manufacture.Production date of the car from the build sheet is 12/11/63 putting the engine and body within a day of each other !! wow I read pontiac had these numbers within a day or two but that's incredible !
BLOCK stamped just behind where the water pump mounts reads 76XW this stands for 389 3x2 4spd wide ratio ! again exactly as the PHS report shows. PLEASE REVIEW THE LAST 6 PICTURES IN THIS LISTING.
as far as I am concerned this is a home run !!!!!!

AND A WHOLE LOT MORE OF WHICH I DO NOT KNOW IF ITS IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO MENTIONBUT YOU WILL GET THE PHS REPORT WITH THE CAR. AS WELL AS A CLEAN NJ TITLEIN HAND IN MY NAME.

THIS IS AN UNRESTORED VERY CLEAN NEARLY RUST FREE SURVIVOR ! THE ONLY RUST THAT I COULD FIND WAS IN THE TRUNK BOARDS ABOVE THE GAS TANK. (SEE PICTURES) SHE HAS BEEN WRAPPEDUP AND STORED SINCE "1982" AS EVIDENCED BY HER LAST INSPECTION STICKER.
PREVIOUS OWNER STARTED TO TAKE THINGS OFF OF THE MOTOR IN PREPARATIONFOR A TOTAL RESTORATION. LIFE GOT IN THE WAY AND SHE HAS BEEN SITTING. I BOUGHT THE CAR AFTER HIS PASSING WITH THE INTENTION OF FINISHING HER OFF. AND A COMBINATION OF A BUSY LIFE AND ABSOLUTELYNO KNOWLEDGEOF GTO'S I'VE DECIDE SHE SHOULD BE SOLD TO SOMEONE WHO CAN PROPERLY DO THIS CAR JUSTICE.
I HAVE NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT WHEN DONE THIS IS EASILY A $80,000 CAR. SO WITH MY STARTING PRICE OF ONLY $16,000 THERE'S PLENTY OF ROOM IN THIS CAR TO FINISH HER OFF RIGHT AND DO HER JUSTICE.

WHAT EVER YOU SEE IN THE PICTURES IS WHAT YOU ARE GETTING NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS.
