Description of 1981 Pontiac Trans Am

1981 Trans Am resto-modfresh buildI built this car to look close to stock and used earlier 70's items (like the decals. engine etc) to give it a nice look. The blue interior and blue graphics work well with the GM white pearl paint. Less then 2000 miles since restoration. Only driven in nice sunny weather. garage keptRust free body. all OE sheetemetal. This was a 12 year frame on restoration project and I need to sell to finish another Trans AmCar will drive anywhere and runs great. 3 stage PPG pearl white paint. Paint and body work alone was over $10. 00 and it looks awesome. I get a lot of complimnents and head turns. All new Blue decals from Pheonix GraphicsJust about everything is new. including poly suspension. poly body mounts. EW tinted glass (all 4 windows). all new weatherstrip. new 17" Ridler 5 spoke wheels. New 17" tires. Completly rebuilt Pontiac 455 with 6X heads. mild cam and rebuilt Muncie 4 speed. rebuilt Hurst shifter. new interior including door panels. headliner. carpet. sunvisors. and more (semi custom velour seat upholstery is when I purchased car - not new but very nice shape )PYPES Stainless steel exhaust system with X pipe and polished splitters. Factory 4 wheel disc brakes (all new and rebuilt with HP brake pads) new master cylinder and stainless brake lines. The car stops. handles and drives amazing. Shows nice and has won 1st place at local show. I built car as a nice driver. but it shows very well and gets a lot of attention. Factory rear is only part I didn't have to rebuild. its a 3. 42 posi and just needed new fluidThe underneath of car was rust free and I had it painted and undercoated. Car was purchased new by a women in Eastern PA and was garaged kept. Originally a 301 auto Trans Am with 4 wheel disc brakes. front and rear sway barsI switched to 4 speed using all new or perfect used components from 1978 Trans AmThere was no Pontiac V8 4 speed cars made after 1979 New parts that go with car: new GM 11" clutch kit (clutch in car is stiff)Stainless steel fuel line (tank to pump) new Ram Air exhaust manifolds and PYPE stainless steel down pipes (car has headers) car has AC but is not completed. Rebuilt compressor. new hoses and wiring included in carCompressor is mounted and most of the wiring is completed.
