Time to make that dream a reality and get some cruising in. This GTO has been my personal car for over 10 years. Over time I did a few things here and there and last winter. 2014. I did the body and finished it the way I always wanted to. I painted it on father's day 2014 and finished assembly in early November. Car has always been stored in climate control in a smoke free environment. To this day. there isn't a single nick. scratch or chip in the mirror smooth Liberty Blue finish. I kept as many things factory GM where I could and used the best hand selected reproduction parts where needed. NOT what ever was cheaper. A lot of reproduction parts came from Inline Tube (their stuff is awesome!!). Ames and Performance Years. All the hardware under the hood even has all the correct markings and finishes. This is a car that was not found in a field or a parts car. sent to a low bidder butcher/body shop with a round of low end reproduction pieces tossed on it like a cable show quick flip. Hundreds of hours were spent making sure the panels had the fit. alignment and panel gaps that these cars were never built with. and since the doors. fenders. trunk lid. hood and front bumper are THE panels this car was born with. it was imperative that these panels were to be used at any cost. I can't express enough on the level of detail this car has. Even considering the level of detail. this is a car you can still drive and enjoy. Fuel is affordable. summer's coming. Time to drive and make memories. live the dream. Included but not shown are the original. date coded gauge cluster. tape player and manual steering box. Yes. the way the car is today was not the way it was built. The entire original driveline was long gone when I acquired the car in 2004. The '68 400 in it was the motor that came in it when I bought it. It has a little bit of cam in it to give it a little 'rump' to it. Runs great on today's grade of fuel. Drives. turns and stops good. Doesn't run hot at all. I added the Muncie M 21close ratio 4 speed and used all factory parts for the install. All the clutch linkage. pedals and bell housing are factory GM parts. I can't tell you how difficult it is to find a correct '69 Hurst shifter assembly that's all there and in great working order. It even has a new back drive set-up. As far as the 12 bolt goes. You can go way up on power before you have to consider any upgrades if you have any plans for down the road. It's pretty stout. I do have a pair of medallions for the seats. For some reason. they never made it on when I recovered the seats. I did all the work on this car myself. Results are stunning. The car actually looks better in person than in pictures. Not many folks can make that statement and be honest. You can see the build process on my facebook page at River City Muscle LLC. NO trades!!Car is sold as is without warranty.
