1970 Porsche 914-6 conversion VIN4702906404 2S body style This car was always a California car until I bought it a few months ago.The conversion was done using a 1970 2.0 911 engine with MFI.Don't have much info on what else was done to the engine but it is definitely more fun and more powerful than the stock 2 liter 914 engine .This car runs, rives and shifts great but the body and interior are a little rough.It had a decent respray but the body work could have and should have been done better.This car would be great as daily driver and would need only minimal work or would be great to find a nice chassis and use this car as a donor for a 914-6 conversion.The 2.0 liter 911 engine with a MFI would be very cool in either a 911/912 or a nicer 914.I have a clear NC title in hand Please email with any questionsOn Aug-24-15 at 08:05:17 PDT, eller added the following information: To offer additional clarity...because I have received a number of questions about rust. Although this car does not exhibit a lot of rust in the usual places, here is a small hole in the front trunk (pictured) and a small hole in the floor pan. Otherwise, t is mostly rust free. With regard to the engine...keep in mind that this is a 1970 911 engine with MFI. The MFI alone is worth quite a bit of money. The engine and transmission are also quite valuable and could be used in a 912, 911 or a 914 conversion. Also, he car will need some adjustment on the MFI in order to be ready to drive as a daily driver.On Aug-27-15 at 14:58:29 PDT, eller added the following information: We were able to get the engine number. It is6196553. This would indicate that it is actually a 1969 911T motor. Previous owner says that it was built by Bob Garretson's Porsche Team shop in California but we can't confirm. It more than likely has upgraded crank, istons and cams to make run properly with the MFI. |
