Description of 1992 Porsche 911

1992 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa, 08,xxx miles, ery good shape.

Engine and drivetrain strong with no known issues. Paint is good with the normal imperfections of an original car. Interior solid - no cracks in the dash, eather is good, ront seats show some wear.

So sad to be selling - my son is getting his license and we need something more teenager-friendly.

Car is stock except for:

-- 17-inch cup wheels

-- Lowered about 1.5" with Eibach springs

-- Newer stereo with upgraded power amp

-- Front strut tower brace for better rigidity.

What it's had done:

-- New clutch, teering rack, il lines, attery, ear shocks

-- Full tune-up 5,000 miles ago with valve adjustment, lugs, lug wires, istributor caps, tc

-- 3-year-old Continental tires, 0% tread life

-- Oil changed regularly, lways Mobil 1

-- Rear lenses all new. These fade after 20+ years in the sun

-- A/C converted to R134a. I recharge it once a year to keep it cold

-- Distributor vent kit installed & belt changed. This is a factory retrofit all 964s need at some point.

-- Has the better looking 'aero' mirrors from the 1992 and later models rather than the old square ones.

Known issues:

-- Front floor mats are worn

-- Eventually the top may need attention. You can see a few spots where it's been repaired and there is some cracking mostly on the inside.

-- Leaks some oil as air-cooled Porsches do. Don't park it on your favorite Persian rug.

-- Right rear wheel has a touch ofcurb rash.

-- Airbag light came on 2 weeks ago, ot sure why. I had this happen 2 years ago and my mechanic reset it while doing other work and said there was nothing wrong with the airbag.

The market for 964s is heading upward so this car is likely to go up in value. Porsche shipped 211 of these to the US for 1992 so it's somewhat rare.

I am a long time ebay-er with 100% positive feedback.
