Description of 1988 Porsche 944 Celebration Edition

1988 Porsche 944. Always garaged. Niceclean original example. Excellent running and driving condition. 2.5 liter, speed. CarFax available. Excellent Zermatt Silver original paint. Original alloy wheels. Not messed with or modified.Straight body. Interior and exterior inexcellentcondition. Currentlyregistered, nspected and driving.

The Celebration Edition factory option code 757 ($6500 upgrade —250 imported to US) marked sale of 100,000 944s made. Missing the special edition commemorative coin that was affixed to the interior of the glove box door (theyare available on the internet).

It's important to buy 944s with service records and fresh timing and drive belts. My 944 had belts replaced 500 miles or so ago and has had the retightening done recently with the proper Porsche tensioning tool. Clutch replaced and stainless steel muffler installed. Front valance has scratches and a not very obvious 2"crack — all to be expected from a 110K car. Sunroof and rear window wiper are problematic on 944s; mine as well. Sunroof been repaired twice not going to bother again. Never needed the back windshield wiper as it never saw rain. AC has been converted to R134a but typically needs recharge every 3 to 4years or so.

24 years of maintenance records plus owner's manuals, riginal trunk tools and car cover. Set to drive across the country. Non-smoker. Located in Plymouth MA — shipping buyer's responsibility. I have owned 5 Porsches over last 49 years and treat them properly.

The car is worth well over NADA's average retail $8450 because it's above average but need sell as I am already driving my 1995 968 cabriolet which in many respects is not as nice as my 944.
