1966 Porsche 911 Project car

Thanks for taking a look at our 1966 Porsche 911 SWB winter project car.

This project was purchased here in California where it appears to have spent the majority of it's life. Rust is minimal as expected. There is no engine but the 901 transmission and many of the connecting bits are included. At some point, he car was converted into a 911SC look alike. The nose was bobbed for this plan and many SC parts were added.

This solid project Porsche would be a great candidate for a variety of 911 based designs or a restoration to it's original 1966 persona. Prices continue to escalate for nearly all things Porsche and we've seen these 66 models hit 6 figures many times.

Exterior.

Originally produced in the rare Aga Blue #6608 per the trim tag. Only 8.7% of 1966 911 production were painted in Aga Blau. Repainted in Silver many years ago. Good glass.

Floor pan is California solid. Only surface rust as shown in the pictures. Great original condition for its age but does show evidence of prior repair.

Appears complete but needs attention. E Brake operational

Interior

Many bits are there. Nice original gauges and dash pad. Wood dash car. Good headliner. Interior needs restoration.

Odometer

The odometer shows 70510 miles.

Clear California title. 1 blue California license plate.

Documentation

Porsche Certificate of Authenticity has been ordered.

Please keep in mind that this is a used car....a nearly 50 year old used car. It is not a concours trailer queen and will not be fresh and perfect like that new soul sucking camry your aunt betty drives. If that's what you are after, his is not your car.
