Description of 1979 Porsche 356

Here is a chance to own an original Intermeccanica Porsche 356 Speedster replica.

These replica are very high quality and use a lot of original Porsche parts since there was not a huge replica market at that time. This Speedster is a pale yellow color that is very period correct for a 1950s model. It is mostly original with no modifications. Has the original engine with oil cooler. Dual carbs for a little extra HP boost.

I purchased the car from the original owner in CA. To get it titled in PA it basically had to be completely inspected and pass to obtain the title. So everything is in working order now. I have a list of items done to the car and I can forward this info to interested parties. Stuff such as brakes, ie rod ends, park plugs, ilters, ew battery, etc.all were done. Tires are new as well.

The car has the original gel coat paint with several flaws and chips. It probably can be touched up to a large degree and is perfectly acceptable as is. Some of the chrome parts have some pitting but again it just looks like a vintage car. Mechanically it runs very good with a strong engine. The 4-speed manual transmission is very smooth with no problems. The interior shows age and the carpet could be replaced but is usable as is. This is a great car to use as it is and enjoy it while doing some cosmetic work to make it exactly how you want it. The Nardi steering wheel is just gorgeous.

The windshield has a crack in it but I have a new windshield for it that will come with the car and you can get it installed. Also comes with a car cover forit. Has the original cover that goes over the cockpit and the side curtains.

I also have a couple of old magazine articles about the IntermeccanicaSpeedster replicas and an original brochure booklet that will go with the car as well.

Please message me with any questions and I will gladly answer them.
