Description of 1972 Porsche 911

This car was purchased from the estate of the original owner. The car had not been driven in many years and during the recommissioning the following work was performed. The brake calipers were rebuilt, new master cylinder and new brake lines were installed. A new gas tank was installed including new gas lines and a new fuel pump and fuel filter. A new clutch was installed including a new pressure plate, new clutch disc, hrow out and pilot bearing, nd theflywheel was resurfaced. While the engine was out, any new seals were installed including the crank pulley seal, ntermediate plate gasket, lywheel seal, ew MFI belt, ew camshaft seal, nd cam cover gaskets. In addition, ew cam oil feed lines were installed. The CV joints were serviced and new CV boots and gaskets were installed. New turbo lower valve covers were installed after the valves were adjusted. A new engine sound pad was installed. The shifter had new bushings installed along with new throttle bellcrank bushings. Also, new alternator was installed. There was a tune up performed with new points, ap, otor and new plug wires. The cold start fuel lines were replaced, nd the oil thermostat got a new o-ring and the breather cover got a new gasket. Many seals were replaced such as the bumper to body weather strip in the front and rear.

There had been a minor accident in the left rear quarter that had been poorly repaired. The quarter was professionally re-repaired and the rear quarters and engine lid were repainted. Also repainted were the front and rear bumpers. The paint from the rear of both door jams forward is original. I have found no rust on the car or the underbody. The car had been rustproofed back in the day. The dealer installed A/C system had been removed from the car prior to my acquiring it, owever, have the stand for the compressor and most of the other parts are still installed in the car. Five original Fuchs wheels 6Jx15 are included. The car has stainless steel SSI heat exchangers.

The interior is probably the best part of the car. It is completely original with no cracks in the dash and the door panels are in great shape except for the speaker cut outs that were installed. The seats, ash, arpet, nd leatherette are all in very good condition for a 40+ year old car. The targa top is in excellent condition.

The car is matching numbers per the COA. The numbers are:

VIN: 9112111794

Engine: 6124449

Transmission: 720528

Color: Bahia Red/13

Interior: Black Leatherette/11

The odometer reads 53,800 miles which is believed to be accurate. Many records exist from the purchase of the car through 2010, owever there are gaps that were lost. I believe the odometer is accurate given the condition of the interior and the rest of the car, ut I have no documentation for the missing years.

The car drives very nicely with the power one would expect from a 2.4L MFI car. Everything works on the car with the exception of the clock. Additional pictures can be found at
