1961 PORSCHE 356 B T-5 COUPE. IRISH GREEN WITH BEIGE TRIM. NICE, LDER RESTORATION WITH FEW MILES SINCE. ATTRACTIVE DRIVER. CAR NO. 116133, NGINE NO. P*713744*.
Offered for sale, rom KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, s this very pretty, eady to use, 56 B Coupe. This car was recently purchased from it's previous owner who acquired the car in restored condition, ut had little time in his life to enjoy it. It consequently sat for a few years in storage. Upon our purchase, e detailed the vehicle, itted a new battery, resh fuel, nd a new ignition switch. The car started up fine, nd is now healthily running and driving well.The restoration appears to have included previous underside rust repairs and undercoating, ew "glass out" body and paintwork, ompletely new interior trim including upholstered front and rear leather seats, interior panel kit, ainted dashboard, orrect headlining, op pad, rechromed brightwork, echromed road wheels with new hubcaps and tires, new windshield, ew rubber kit, tc.
The car's paintwork is attractive and glossy, ut upon close examination has a few minor flaws. There are some noted areas that have lightly lifted under the topcoat, nd a couple small spots around the engine compartment, which appears that brake fluid may have dripped/splashed from another car...Nevertheless, he car is very pretty with the paint being perfectly acceptable for a very nice usable road car. Panel fit is decent to good, ith all body panels opening and closing well overall.The engine starts easily on the key and sounds very healthy with no smoke or unnecessary noises. Oil level is clean and up to the mark. The engine unit looks very clean overall with a good chance of it being rebuilt. It is fitted with a new set of Weber carburetors and modern air filters. It pulls nicely through it's 4-speed gearbox with good syncromesh action, ith the brakes warming up and stopping the car well. The car tracks very nice and in a straight line with the steering wheel perfectly centered.
Overall, his attractive, approachable, nd very usable Porsche 356 B Coupe is a well-priced offering for the enthusiast/driver. It has been cosmetically restored to a decent standard and if taken care of, hould be enjoyed in it's current condition for many years to come.
