| 1985 Porsche 928S with strong engine from 1989 Porsche 928S4. 5-speed manual transmission for sale. The car is in good mechanical condition. with service and history from new until 1995. Runs strong although interior and exterior shows some expected wear. Car recently passed CA smog test in August 2014. Timing belt. tensioner and pulleys were replaced in 2010 although documentation was lost. Before I took delivery. the car was serviced including a new fuel pump. fuel filter and easily passed CA smog inspection. I have driven the car approximately 400 miles without any issues at all. I have had added 18" 993 Turbo Twist wheels. tires and new brakes. The previous owner had provided a verbal history of the car and service documentation until 1995. I understood the car had been serviced with timing belt with tensioner was replaced in 2010. While everything appears new. documentation past 1995 was lost and not available. I understood the following details from speaking with the previous owner:Engine swap was done in 1997 by Porsche 928 specialists in Los Angeles. At present. I understood only 60K miles on the engine. The car starts. runs and drives perfectly. There is no written documentation to verify the number of miles on the engine. The front and rear suspension and steering rack appear to have been serviced recently. Documentation of this service is also not available however there is no indication any service is required to either the suspension or steering rack. Car has detailed service and maintenance records from purchased new in San Rafael CA until 1995 in Los Angeles CA.
