Description of 1989 Porsche 911 964 Carrera 4

This car is truly a work of art. 52. 00 original miles. mechanically perfect. and finished with the original factory paint color of Guards Red. An ideal addition to any collection. a PCA member told they only made under 20 in this combination in the 1989. With beautiful black interior. this car sounds fantastic and drives like a dream. If you live in California like me. and have the sunroof open to go for a drive. there is simply nothing else like it. This car as always been garaged. properly maintained and has never been a daily diver. Please review the clean Carfax report and the Carfax guarantee. Being an avid Porsche enthusiast and PCA member. my research has explained that Porsche released only 1017. 1989. 964. 911 C4's before the actual hard release of the Porsche 964. If you were one of the wealthy elite and wanted the best Porsche you could buy at the time- this car was it. Porsche had not released a 964 turbo or speedster in 1989 but the 89’ C4 had lots of power and an all-wheel command of the road. History of this vehicle - Delivered new to its first owner in 1989 as a "summer car" the owner was captivated by the power. control. speed and beauty of his new Porsche. The original owner died not long after the purchase and his widow could not bring herself to sell the car for about 20 years. She could not drive it so very. very few miles have been put on this car and she had someone from the Porsche Dealership service this car once a year. This can be seen on the service records. (at the dealership) the stamps and on Carfax Report also reflect this. When she died I bought this car from the widow’s daughter who consigned it at a high-end vintage car dealership where I bought it a few years ago. The Guards Red finish is striking. maintaining its excellent condition throughout the years. The gaps and panel fits are all factory consistent and correct and the car is marred only by incredibly minor imperfections. none of which are significant enough to appear in any of the pictures and none of which detract from the car’s considerable overall appeal. The glass and rubber are all in excellent condition. as are the tires. clutch and (rebuilt)transmission which are all pretty new. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a beautiful. low mileage. mechanically sound example of a desirable and quickly appreciating model that has recently joined its predecessors in the ranks of timeless Porsche classics. This should come as no surprise. considering that in 1989 ½. the U. S. economy was dealing with a recession. yielding considerably lower production numbers compared to its 3. 2L predecessor and 3. 4L successor. Further. the 964 is exceptionally comfortable compared to earlier 911s. yet it still retains that visceral. grin-inducing Porsche ride quality and air-cooled engine tone. Over the last ten years the model reached the bottom of its depreciation curve and is now quickly appreciating. and there will inevitably come a time when enthusiasts’ will wish that they’d acquired this special 964 at 2015 prices. This is undoubtedly one of the best examples on the market today. Key-points: I have records for the following information. Original paint Color of Guards Red5-Speed Manual transmission shifts perfectly. I did a transmission rebuild. This was a big expense but when I bought the car it was not shifting to my liking and now it works perfectly. All service recordsBrakes are in great shapeEarly production problems & kinks fixed (a oil catch was removed and some other fixes)Very minor oil leaks consistent with a 1980s Porsche. (I had these looked at 1/6/2015 and repaired. I have a invoice) it was dropping a bit after the service the leaks are fixed and I don't even need a drip pan in my garage. which is unheard of for a Porsche this age. New Clutch within 5k milesNew Tires within 5k milesNo Serious Accidents - Clean CarFaxNo strange smells. Non-Smoker car. Original owner’s manualsPaint touch ups - When I bought this car the fenders had small chips in them because they stick out. I had them repainted and they look great. I provided a picture of the paint job. Passed Smog (if you live in CA it’s a big deal)Spare tire and tool kitsThe dash. seats. carpets. headliner all looks new. No cracks or tears. The mechanical fin works well and is really cool. The sound system was upgraded with a CD. Bluetooth. MP3 playerSunroof works. Video of the car: https://www. dropbox. com/sh/vmth0r5twf5gur9/AADhb_YovtoX4eXd5hZQOAUIa?dl=0FAQAuto Check Minor Issue 12/24/2013 MI? I do not understand it either. This is a mistake. as far as I know the car has not been to MI. On 12/24/2013 the cars fender got dinged in Santa Barbara. it was very. very minor (I have pictures)- I had it repaired and had BOTH fenders repainted because the chips on them were ugly (all 964 fenders chip because they flare out). Is the car really that great? It’s better. The car checks all the right boxes for a serious buyer: low original miles. serious accident free original body. timeless and desirable color combination. strong original mechanics. Why are you selling the car?I want to buy a 1994 Speedster. Vintage Porsche's have been a great investment for me and are going up in value like crazy. I do love this C4 it's an amazing car. “Lookie Lous”Do not buy this car if you don’t want people talking to you. I get stopped by people all the time asking about the car. People leave notes on the car all the time etc. RecordsI have kept meticulous records. the Porsche dealership has everything else. QuestionsDo not message me unless it is a question about the car. I will not take an offer before the end of the auction and I don't need you to sell the car for me. For me. there is urgent need for me to sell it. Preferably I would like to sell this car to a Porsche collector or someone who buys vintage cars as an investment (because the buyer will understand the value of the car). If you do not put a lot of miles on this car. it will. go up in value. I have 50 or so additional high resolution pictures. video etc. My phone number is: 1-805-242-2336 if you have any questions.
