Description of 1975 Porsche Other 911 US

For sale by private owner: 1975 Porsche 911 V8 conversion widebody slantnose.
Up for sale is an extensive and thorough build of a 911 SBC (Short Block Chevy) V8 conversion. I purchased it off of eBay for $24,110 on June 23rd of 2015 from the 2nd owner since the conversion; I am the 3rd owner since the V8 conversion. I've spoken with the owner who did the conversion and he is an excellent resource. He spared no expense in building this excellent 911, with no shortcuts. The 2nd owner primarily purchased it as an investment in 2012 and drove it very little until I purchased it in 2015. Both the original builder and the 2nd owner (a classic car movie warehouse owner) were and are still in the Los Angeles area. The car and I are in Atlanta; I had it shipped east from my house in LA. This is a former 2011 NPOCP car, and more information can be found by Googling '911 V8 NPOCP'.
This conversion has a moderate track setup and is useable as a driver with excellent working AC and complete interior. It is geared as a 4-speed with 930 gearbox mated to a EFI crate 350 with modified cams and custom tig welded exhaust. Unlike most conversions this V8 stays cool and the AC blows COLD -- even in the humidity and heat of Atlanta summers -- thanks to two Meziere 55 gph electric water pumps that feed a custom-made front end radiator. It puts out an estimated 345hp to a set of Countach-width tires, with a power-to-weight ratio of only about 7.5 lbs per hp. It gets up and goes, and there is no hiding the beatiful exhauast sound. The V8, while having a higher center of gravity than a turbo Porsche boxer 6, weighs about the same. From a road and steering feel it drives like an early 80's 911 and stays straight thanks to the wide tires and thick suspension. The biggest driving experience difference is the amazing V8 torque from start that just simply doesn't give up. The steep torque curve is an experience in itself.
It currently sits showing 9,462 miles since the conversion. I've driven it a little over 1,200 total miles in my 16 months of ownership. Mileage will be slightly higher, as I do drive it every other weekend. The title is clean and clear, in my name.
I have more than 50 photos in a Google Photos album that I can share -- including original build pictures. Please contact me for more information.
During my ownership I've done the following:1. Engine oil and filter change (yearly, last done 8/13/2016, approximately 120 miles ago)2. Valve adjustment (yearly, last done 8/13/16)3. Transaxle oil change (once, Swepco, 5/14/2016, approximately 450 miles ago)4. New battery (Optima red top, Sept 2016)5. Coolant change (5:1 distilled water + BMW coolant, 5/14/2016)6. New rear tires ($2,000 Pirelli 345/35/ZR15, Aug 2016)7. Periodic manual tensioning of accessory belts8. Minor cosmetic fixes such as new visor clips
Detractors:1. There are three primary cracks in the dashboard, pictured2. Paint touch-ups in various places, primarily on door and hatch edges.3. Bottom side of the fiberglass front spoiler is scratched and covered with black tape, out of view
If you have any questions please give me a text or call at (404) 647-3132. I can pick you up from the ATL airport or help coordinate shipping.
There are NO FEES. What you bid is what you pay. I'm a private owner, not a company. I welcome inspections before the auction ends -- either by private company or in-person. I will make myself available. No joy rides.
Sorry, I can't help with financing, am not interested in any trade, and do not accept PayPal or credit cards for payment. We have many banks in Atlanta and I'm happy to do the transaction at your bank or at mine, for security. There is no warranty. I'll be issuing a Georgia Bill of Sale (form T-7) along with the title. I'm happy to help coordinate shipping, but the cost of shipping is yours, the buyer's, if you decide to ship it instead of pick it up. You, the buyer, are responsible for all taxes or ad valorem charged by your home state; I will not be collecting these on your behalf. I can't offer long term storage but am flexible, schedule-wise, and will work with you in good faith to schedule shipping or your drive home. If you are planning to drive it home you are responsible for getting a temporary tag; my Georgia license tag stays with me. The state of Georgia does not require a temporary tag when you purchase from an individual, so -- at least in the state of Georgia -- you are OK driving around without a tag as long as you have proof of ownership and insurance in the vehicle (proof of ownership is the bill of sale and title, signed over to you). Please call if you have any questions.
If you are bidding I expect you to follow through. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due within 72 hours via PayPal, direct wire, or overnight check. If a deposit is not received within 72 hours the car will be relisted. This car is for sale locally, as well, and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
