Description of 1957 Porsche 356

1957 Porsche speedster replica Car is in great shape. Runs and starts right up no problem. New interior (see pictures). Built on a 1976 VW bug chassis. Mph/KM gauge works but is 5mph off. Other gauges don't work. Porsche emblems, aftermarket head light covers (see pictures), wood Nardi steering wheel (see pictures)
bought the car as a fun weekend ride but I just had a baby so I haven't driven it like I would like.
4 wheel drum brakes all around. Car is titled (clean/clear AZ title) as a 76 Volkswagen as that is what the pan VIN is from.
Brand new custom interior
New fuel system
New brakes
New tires installed August 13, 2015
Fresh rebuilt engine - 1600 cc
All electrical working properly
Wide body design
No air conditioning or heat in case you are wondering.
Gauges:
Oil Pressure - works
Amp Meter - works
Speedometer - works but is in Kilometers per hour. Odometer measures kilometers.
Tachometer - works
Fuel gauge - works on the full side, but not accurate as fuel is used. Empty tank is closer to 1/2 full on the gauge. May need some resistors installed in the fuel sending unit to become completely accurate.
There is an Oil temperature gauge in the dash, but there is no sender in the engine. If you want to measure oil temp, you will need to install sending unit and run wire back to gauge.
All the lights, blinkers and turn signals work. Horn works. Wipers work.
This car is fun to drive and, as you would expect, gets lots of looks and thumbs up!
There are 2 chips on hood - the only flaws in the body work and paint.
Not very noticeable but I would rather tell you about them then you find
them and be upset.
Also comes with a couple of parts I did not use in the restoration including a roll bar, front
bumper, and convertible top. I did not restore the top when I built the
car. It is in ok condition, but to match the quality of the rest of the
car, I would have it redone if I planned to use it.
This is a 2 seater although there is a cushion for rear passenger, really no place for them to put their legs.
