1987 Porsche 928 S4
I purchased this 928 S4 from an owner of other 928's in Texas and he purchased from the President of the Local Porsche club. In his ownership he converted the A/C to R134 and did a complete refresh of the top half of the engine (I have detailed pictures of the process). He also replaced the IAV, knock sensors, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor caps, rotors and valve cover gaskets. The water pump and timing belt were replaced 3 years and very few miles ago. He was planning on doing a paint job and interior work but had others to work on so sold to me. I had been wanting one but was always concerned about some of the issues I had heard about. He had it all sorted out and I could handle the paint and interior.
All the previous owner said that I needed to fix besides paint and interior was the Odometer gear had broken about 1500 miles ago and needed to be replaced.
The car arrived and it was better than expected; all the lights work; even all the interior ones and dash. It was a 30 year old Porsche that had been keep pretty complete. I have driven the car and it performs very well. Even the Alpine stereo works well.
I am selling because the belt tension light came on. It goes on after 3 minutes so it not grounding (common problem and day in the garage to fix) but I just don't have the time and honestly can't have another car sitting. I am selling for what I have into it which was a pretty amazing price.
