Description of 1965 Porsche 911 |
1965 Porsche 911 Vin 302069 was built on 7-30-65 so it is one of the last true 65 Porsche 911. Porsche production went on break for one month in August and started back up in September for the new 1966 model year. This car is titled as a 1966 for reason I do not know. All number match except for the transmission. All the body panels match including both front fenders doors and lids. The car is great to drive and very fun and has great power delivery it revs up quick and is very responsive. With a shorter third and fourth gear it always stays in the power band and, when your in fifth gear on the highway, it still has lots of power to pass and it still pulls hard. It has the original floor plan longitudinals jack points and there are all in good solid condition. The only rust repair that I have done was the front suspension pan. The build for me was to have an early 911 that I could enjoy without drawing too much attention too. For the new owner you could have the car painted and Auto's do the interior and then the car would be completely restored, or drive it just like I did and enjoy the car with out thinking about every rock chip you are going to get. The list below are the things that I have done over my owner ship. Rebuilt engine number matching.
