Description of 1969 Porsche 912 Standard

Selling a wonderful 1969 912 Karmann Coupe in excellent driver condition. Very desirable Burgundy red with black leatherette vinyl interior. Two owners from new - car was purchased at Orange Motors of Coral Gables in Coral Gables, Florida on October 30, 1968. Numbers matching with original engine and close ratio 5-speed 902/05 special order gearbox.
Have the original window sticker, maintenance record book, service records back to when the car was new, along with the complete factory tool kit and jack - see photos. This car has always has been garage kept and still has all the original body panels with no accidents. Original floor boards and front suspension pan in excellent condition. Car was painted back in the late 70s in the correct burgundy, but has scratches and small imperfections in the finish as would be expected.
It runs and drives, turns and stops like a two year old 912. Engine was fully rebuilt by Roger Chaney (former Technical Chairman of the Porsche Club of America) in the 90's and pulls strong with no hesitation or popping. The engine has about 7000 miles on it since the rebuild.
Everything works on the car except the clock and the original Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM-FM-SW radio (full documentation for radio included).

I just received four additional invoices from Zim's Autotechnik on the car including a comprehensive one from 2012 for $10,400! This included a complete rebuild of the brakes, rebuild of the suspension system including a four wheel alignment, engine out service including oil leak repair, valve adjustment, new clutch, etc.
