Description of 1978 Porsche 911 NO RESERVE!!

1978 911SC Black/Black NO RESERVE

This is an original 1978 911SC Targa with only 81k original miles selling at NO RESERVE. It spent the majority of its life in North Carolina under caring owners, with normal service done regularly. The car presents very nicely and drives as good as it looks. The car has zero accidents and zero rust ever. The car starts immediately up, even after sitting for over a month. The battery always holds power. The engine idles perfect, even on cold start up. It runs very smooth and shifts through all gears like butter. The clutch feels very proper, the brakes are very strong. On the highway the car drives straight and hardly any vibration on the steering wheel, very true & solid feel to it. The car has newer tires and makes it handle excellent. Mechanically this early SC is wonderful and ready from someone to take the top off and head out for a road trip. Cosmetically the car looks beautiful. The paint is a solid 8/10. There's normal stone chips/road rash on the front bumper and hood. There's one dime-size ding on the top of the passenger fender. The car is optioned with the optional (and desirable) wider rear Fuchs wheels to give it an beautiful offset look. The interior is all original minus the newer radio. The leather seats are all original. The driver's seat bottom has a tear. The rear rears and carpet are all 100% original and in excellent shape. The dash has a couple cracks from to the sun. The front trunk is very tidy and looks mint. The original spare wheel has never been used and is proper date coded 3/78. The car is accompanied with the original toolkit, spare wheel (unused), jack, plastic gloves, books, owners manual in burgundy wallet.
The front trunk and pan is 100% mint condition with zero corrosion or prior repair. The underbody of the car is straight as an arrow and bone-dry, which in my opinion is one of the most important aspects to buying a 911. It still has all the original undercoating, not hiding anything underneath. The engine bay is very clean and tidy as well. Leaks no oil. This car is a true eye-catcher wherever I drive. Thumbs up everywhere, every time. This 911SC is unique in that it's an early (1978; first year of the 911SC) and that it has retained low mileage. And because of that comes it's original & unmodified condition that it is in today. This car is totally stock and original. The quality SCs are always going to be the most original examples, and this car is just that. The 911SC is arguably one of the very best 911s ever produced (and trust me there were a lot of great aircooled models that were great). Simply put, these cars are bullet-proof and damn near indestructible. It's not by coincidence to see 911SCs with 200-300k miles and still look and run great. Just last week a reputable air-cooled dealer sold a clean 320k mile 911SC targa for over $30k. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have. Inspections and PPIs are welcome but are to be arranged before auction end no exceptions. I have a free and clear title. And don't forget the car will be selling at NO RESERVE, so the highest bidder will win the auction!
