Description of 1965 Porsche 911 Leather

Up for sale is 1 very rare 1965 Porsche 911. This is an incredible time capsule barn find and was stored for over 40 years. The exterior has some surface rust, but no holes anywhere. This is an one of the first 911 models produced serial number 300827. This car has a nice interior for a car this old with a dash that is flawless, super solid floor boards and only 21,452 miles on the odometer. This is truly a rare find all knobs and gauges are original and the seats are perfect with no tears, holes or loose stitching. The car was sold new at Competition Motorsports Los Angeles, California the same dealer that sold James dean his Porsche.

This car looks better in person than in the pictures. This vehicle does have surface rust but no holes anywhere. I believe it has the original paint which is code#6405 Champagne Yellow. The front bumper has a dent in the middle and the hood has a dent but it does not go through to the underside just the outer panel. The trunk is also rock solid with no holes of any kind. Both original vin plaques are in place with the original paint code number in the door jamb. I am not a Porsche expert but I believethis car was made in April 1965 from research on the internet. I believe the first 330 cars were 901 models so this should be the 497th Porsche 911 made. The car does have the original shift knob and rear jump seats. Every piece of glass is great with no chips or cracks and the original seat belts are there with the Porsche logo. Both Weber 46IDA30 Carburetors were in the interior and move freely. I have seen these alone sell for 4k. The car has all matching numbers including the engine.

Underneath the car actually has less rust than the top, probably because it sat for so long. This car is complete with the exception of the fins on top of the engine compartment. This car still has some original carpet, rubber sealing mats, sound deadening fiberboard over the engine. This car even has the fabric over the gas cap still in it. The original radio is missing but the dash has not beenbutchered, the radio amplifier is still in the engine compartment. All wheels have the chrome hubcaps and all emblems are there and original. We did not hook a battery up as we have no key and thought a professional should check the fluids and everything before attempting to start it. The car also includesthe jackand 2 workshop manuals.

The brakes are not locked up from age and the tires are flat. This car has been stored for 4 decades. You will need to furnish a flat bed with winch to pick it up. We will put some usedtires on the car so it roll. Do not let this one get buy you with these cars going up in value almost monthly. They will never make them like this again. From what I have read 1965 Porsche 911is the pinnacle of the line.

These pictures do not do the car justice I have many more pictures of the inner fenders, dash, under carriage, trunk and interior that I can send to you. My camera was acting up an I am very sorry. There are no rust holes anywhere on this car just spots that need sanding. The car is complete and all original and is a great example of a solid original car.

This car is being relisted due to a non paying bidder. We will not ship the car overseas. If you have any questions please ask BEFORE bidding. Again This car is solid with NO RUST HOLES Underneath or above anywhere just surface rust and dirt underneath. It is all original and the interior is nice. The glass covered head lights are stamped Hella and the numbers match on them. This car is so original it is hard to describe! We usually do not sell cars but when we stumbled on this barn find we could not believe it. The down side is the rear vents are missing on the trunk, no original radio, the dent on the front bumper and hood and 1 small air intake grill on the front is missing and that's all we know off. Nobody has seen this car in person from the internet yet. This is a very early car that I believe you will not find this cheap anywhere. We welcome people to look at it in person. We can look at this car this weekend just let us know!
