Description of 1988 Porsche 944 Celebration Edition

You are bidding on an excellent Porsche 944"Celebration Edition"AKA Special Edition, collectible grade. This car is one of only 250 produced for America (in Satin Black Metallic) to celebrate the 100,000 Porsche's to roll off theNeckarsulmproduction lines in Germany. Option code 757 shown in the rear sticker. It's the only one I'm aware of currently for sale in the US. It is the cheapest and one of the most rare Porsche's you could collect, for an entry level collector. It is way more rare than Porsche 944 Turbo which thousands were manufactured. Some Porsche enthusiast don't even know it exist ... it is not even in the Porsche museum in Germany. Low Miles!!! Original paint!!! in 90% of the car ... front bumper, nose between headlights and headlights covers were painted due of some light scratches (I scratched the front bumper) and mainly because of tons of rock chips. Some rock chips are still present in hood and fenders, which has been touched up. All original parts are still there, with original part number stickers, never wrecked, rust free body! Recommended to inspect the car or hire somebody to inspect before bidding.NO RESERVE, HAPPY BIDDING!

This car has only had 2 owners before me, since new and it was a "barn find". Clean Title. It was sitting in a driveway on the country because previous owner didn't have time for it. I purchased the car a few years ago after it sat unused for around 5 years or more. I did all of the following preventative maintenance items shown below, bringing the car up to mechanical conditions to pass inspection. Over $3k has been spent on the car in the last 18 months, and it's running perfectly fine and ready for years of maintenance free driving as everything has been done, but the power steering fluid leak, that I haven't looked into. Tires have plenty of thread but are old. In my opinion shocks needs to be replaced.

Below are most of the key new items within the last 18 months. I have receipts for everything but the labor done by myself (I have had Porches for 25 years and I currently own some others);

water pump and new coolant

Mobil 1 synthetic oil and oil filter changed around 1,500 miles ago

timing belt

thermostat

fuel filter

air filter

cam shaft seal

new side mirrors (mirrors only)

timing belt tensioner

spark plugs

shift boot

new hood shocks

new sunroof inner and outer gaskets

new windshield (original windshield had a crack)

windshield washer reservoir and electric pump (you can't pass inspection if it is not working)

new stereo speakers fit in the factory door location (no modifications done to the car)

clutch master cylinder and clutch slave with new fluid

some radiator hoses

distributor

ignition rotor

new sunroof hinges and latches

new sun visors bracket clips

tail lights assembly replaced. original ones had stress or sun small cracks

sunroof repair (is working now electrically)

new fog light lenses and switch

The A/C is cooling good. An aftermarket stereo with Bluetooth and remote control is installed in working condition.

All windows, lights, sunroof, power locks, electric side mirrors, etc. are working, even the small light in the hood, when you open it at night ;)

Original air filter box, floor mats and OEM brake calipers and rotors included . Tools and spare tire are present in the car as well. If you need more pictures please ask for them and I will send a message with them attached. Video in YouTubecoming soon. Interiors upholstered in grey and black by previous owner.

Deposit; $200 - non-refundable. Shipping at buyer's expense. I could help you with coordination and taking a video while loading. Pick up - business place (non-residential). Offers welcome. NO TRADES! Ship to Europe, Canada and Puerto Rico but you will need to get a freight forwarder, of course shipping cost not included. Shipping Terms: Ex-Works Houston, TX (in my place). The car might have some extra miles due to testing and take videos and pictures. Ihad a lot of TLC done myself, that is why it is still in one piece, with original parts. You can look for Porsche 930's and you will find many in Ebay and everywhere else, but you won't find this Celebration Edition that easy. GOOD LUCK in your bidding! The highest bidder gets the car for sure, because the reserve. Please have funds secured because I can't afford wasting my time. Note: the red brake calipers and cross drilled rotors are not installed in the car anymore and they are not included. Included are the original brake calipers in gold finish and original rotors, so the car is 100% original complete. I will update photos soon.

On Jan-16-19 at 21:44:42 PST, seller added the following information:

All the original tools, jack, spare tire (in good shape) and manuals are in the car as well as the medallion (coin) in the glove box. I have the paperwork of everything I did and maybe some from previous owner. I will post picture tomorrow. You can see video of the car running and medallion in YouTube on this link (the audio is really bad when talking, because I was missing the Gopro mic.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmnLDKD5_Rk
