Description of 1984 Porsche 944

This 1984 Porsche 944 is in superb condition and runs/drives like a new one. It comes with many rare options. It has Power Steering, Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, 5 speed, Removable Power Top, Cruise Control, Factory Alarm System, and other optional items. All mechanical systems work as they should, and the AC blows cold air. Even the door beeper and safety built warning lights are working. Radio has been upgraded to a superb unit with excellent front/rear speakers.
This Porsche sits in my garage month after month, and does not leak a drop of any oil or fluid. It was recently upgraded with completely new suspension system, power steering rack, half axles, wheel bearings, shocks, A-Arms, new performance tires, complete body allignment, new windshield, rotors/brakes, belts, hoses, oil, coolant, and the list goes on.
It has always been garage kept by the 3 prior owners and never driven in bad weather. This Porsche drives beautifully and with the famous 50-50 weight distribution, it is one of the best handling sports cars ever produced.

Other add-on options include:
1. The 944 was designed so that the driver must turn the key all the way to the "off" position if the engine should stall, which is annoying for most drivers. There is a "push-button" mounted to the right of the steering wheel which the driver can quickly push to start the engine instead of turning the key to the "off" position and then re-starting.
2. The console cigarette lighter is the German-made "short" design that does not accomodate plug-in devices. Thus, a "long" US-style one has been mounted inside the glove box.
3. An accurate electronic volt meter was installed above the radio.
4. K&N Hi Flow air filter and battery disconnect switch.
5. Power antenna and rear defroster.
6. $500 in custom instruments/tools designed specifically for this Porsche. They include the 920Xv6.1 Timing Belt Tensioning Tool/Gauge, Flywheel Lock, Combo Pin Wrench, and allignment cams/bolts. These, along with the original owners manuals are shown in the PhotoBucket Pictures (links below).

I have posted 24 pics here, and will be posting about 100 more on PhotoBucket. These will include much more detail, pics underneath the car, etc. I will also load a couple videos on Youtube to show the car starting-up and running, which will show that it burns absolutely no oil. As stated above, this Porsche starts, runs, shifts, drives, and brakes with no issues......it steers beautifully, tracks straight, and is a pleasure to drive.

I purchased this Porsche from the 3rd owner, and he claimed that the mileage was original and had not gone past the odometer's reading of 100,000 miles. The car truely drives like a new one, and I believe the mileage is correct at 96,865. However, the AutoCheck report shows the mileage at about 296,000 miles. (This report also gives it a high rating of 75, with the average rating being between 42 - 65). Its my opinion that a mistake was made in the past during a title change. I wanted to contact the original owner to see if I can verify the mileage, but have not had the time to do so. So, there is a chance that the correct mileage is 296,000, but I strongly believe the mileage is far less. The clutch and brake pedal rubber surfaces are not worn, the original seats are in superb condition (the driver's seat has one small tear along a seam), the carpets are in great condition, all the rubber door/window trim is superb, all doors/hatches open/close like a new car, and there is no rust. I do not see the usual signs of wear that would be reflected on a higher mileage car.

(Due to this mileage issue, I hereby agree to refund 75% of the purchase price if the Buyer decides to cancel the purchase transaction after inspecting the car. This must be done at my residence, and not after it is delivered to the Buyer's home). Potential Buyers are also welcome to inspect the Porsche before bidding.
