THIS IS NOT A KIT CAR SPEEDSTER NOTORIGINAL CONVERTIBLE BODY BUT IT IS A CUT ROOF ORIGINAL STEEL PRODUCTION 1964 356 CAR WITH NO RUST SITTING ON VW BUG FLOORPAN CHASSY SHORTENED AND REINFORCED TO 356 SPEEDSTER WHEELBASE. suspension is a complete VW BUG from 1960's WITH LARGE 5 bolt. ON FRONT...SO IT IS REAL ALL METAL 356 BODY SHELL SITTING ON VW CHASSIS AND SET UP FOR VW DRIVETRAIN. LOTS OF HOURS ALREADY SPENT ON THIS CAR TO MAKE THE SHELL FEET AND PRE INSTALED BY CUTTING ALL THE LOWER SECTIONS ON FRONT AND MIDDLE THE ONLY FIBERGLASS IS REAR TAILLIGHT PANEL CONNECTED IN TAILLIGHT AREA WITH THE RIVETS AND FILLED WITH BONDO FILLER ON TOP TO COVER THE RIVETS. ALL BODY IS SPRAY CAN PRIMERED. THE WHOLE BODY, DOORS, HOOD, ENGINE LID TWIN GRILL, FRONT FENDERS AND HEADLIGHT PANEL, DASHBOARD, WINDSHIELD POST AND REAR QUARTER PANELS ARE STEEL FACTORY ORIGINAL PRODUCTION. PARTS COMING WITH THE CAR ON LAST PICTURE, DISC BRAKES AND SPINDLES,FAN SHROUD AND ALTERNATOR,EXHAUSTPIPING AND MUFFLER, EXTRA GEAR BOX, NOT ON PICTURE. ALL VW PARTS. HEADLIGHTS ARE REAL BOCH. PICTURE 7,8, shows rite, left frame/body line that needs to be connected on lower front foot panel sitting only on one bolt on each side and 2 bolts on front and rear,now picture 9 shows front mount body bracket attached to frame under gas tank trunk floor and last picture shows engine compartment each side body attached to frame only on one bracket one bolt for easy removal if need to work on body or frame seats are not original porsche have original gas tank and custom aluminum gas tank that fits in the backseat area have nice beige original door panels, rubber gasket for windshield. trasmission is vw. Has sindels disk brakes vw carman gia. front wheels are 356. Made in Germany. doors have original latches, no glass or window cranks. hood has rust on bottom front. has lutch, and gas tank lid for front fender. front clip is pretty mutch solid and has no rust except for the battery tray, it is missing. A couple rust holes on top inner quarter panels. rear floor has is custom made from steel sheet medal, welded lower panel. see picture. rear tighlit panel is fiberglass and riveted to the body after tale light line and has filler bondo on the top covering rivets. Not a clean job. gauges on dasch are vw. Wiring on the car is vw speedster. like new with fuse box. drum rear brakes and vw wide 15/8 wheels. Custom made. This is all I know about the car.
