Description of 1969 Porsche 911 targa

This auction is for a 1969 Porsche 911E targa with sportomatic transmission in original sand beige color. Vin number 119210598. engine number 6298470 and transmission type and number 905/13 7290814. I just got the Kardex which confirms that this car is numbers matching (see pics). It is also very significant that this car has rare Recaro sport seats and tilting sliders which are worth $4000-$6000 in used condition. These are also listed on the Kardex and WagenKarte. A sand beige. 1969. 911E with sports seats. tilting sliders. sportomatic and completely numbers matching is super rare and may be one of only a very few or even the only one ever made. True "Barn Find Condition" I did not even clean the dust off of this car. this is just how I got it. I’ve created an online photo album with 175 pictures. please get in touch and I’m happy to send you a link to those. I urge prospective buyers to look carefully at all the pictures. I have a signed California Title from the guy I bought it from. I’m the legal owner. He got this Porsche from an old timer who had it stored in a warehouse for decades. The California DMV showed that it had not been registered since before 1990 but all the back fees are now paid (over $1000) and this car has a clean and clear California title and even comes with new California license plates. The California blue license plate that came with the car expired in 1980. the DMV required the plate or so I was told so it is not included in the sale (I did take pictures of it). The old license plate and a receipt I found in the car etc. point to this targa having been in California since 1979 or earlier. I realize this car is a project car with rust issues and other damage. but this Porsche is very complete. original and overall solid. take a look at the floor boards etc. This car was originally imported into Switzerland. you can tell because it has an AMAG number riveted into the back of the car. AMAG was the importer for Porsche cars going into Switzerland in the 60s. I got a Wagenkarte from AMAG and have included a copy in the pictures. I also have the Kardex and that is also in the pictures. This car has a 120mph speedo which is probably from a 912. not a 911 which normally have a 150mph speedo. I’m guessing this speedo was installed when it came to the US and the kph (kilometer per hour) speedo was removed. I don’t have the original kph speedo. The car is so original that it still appears to still have hydropneumatic struts in the front (collapsed). I was able to check 2 of the wheels and they are both dated 3-69 and I assume the other 3 are as well. The Steering wheel is dated 2-69 so appears also to be original for this car. The windshield looks good is not cracked or broken and it says “Sigla West Germany” and is very likely to be the original factory installed unit. The 1969. 911E mechanical fuel injected engine looks to be complete and it turns over. The heat exchangers and muffler are very rusty. The targa top although complete is in poor condition and one of the pins in the back is bent. The front latches do work well and I was able to latch it. I also used some duct tape to help further secure it to the car (see pics). This car is located in Lodi California 95240 in the garage of my parent’s home and it will ship from there when the payment has been received by me. Please see my feedback ratings. I deal almost exclusively in Porsche cars and parts and I’m a known and respected member of the early 911 community. This is a no reserve auction and this car will go to the highest bidder who wins and pays. Sold in "As Is" condition with no warranty express or implied.
