Description of 1986 Porsche 944

1986 Porsche 944.
This car was used in the 944 Spec racing series for a season or two by a previous owner, but it’s still very much street legal, so would be perfect for track or daily driving.
This car attracts A LOT of attention, so if you don’t like your photo being taken or don’t like being approached by middle-aged men at gas stations, this is NOT the car for you.
The best thing about this 944 is that it’s actually been properly maintained, and all the big money has been spent already!
Just in the last 5,000 miles, the front and rear main crankshaft seals have been replaced (no oil leaks!!!), the clutch has been replaced, and the clutch master cylinder has been replaced. Oil, oil filter, brake fluid, and alignment were done about 100 miles ago. Car was repainted several years ago. It was originally some sort of brown. The interior is more or less stripped, so don't expect much, but the power windows still work, and there are a couple speakers hooked up to a newer Blaupunkt head unit.
I have two other racing seats I can include so you can have a passenger ride, as well as another brand new harness.
The car has the Spec 944-legal oil pan baffle modification, so there’s no oil starvation under cornering. These are not Spec series-legal wheels, obviously. These are much larger wheels on spacers. I have a set of the ATS "cookie cutter" wheels in excellent condition that I will include with the car.
One more thing: The previous owner reset the trip meter while the vehicle was in motion. In case you didn’t know, this breaks the mechanism that controls the odometer in this car. I’ve driven the car maybe 1,000 miles, so the actual mileage isn’t too far off.
