Description for Porsche 911 1983

This is a 1983 Porsche 911 SC Coupe with 173,000 miles on the odometer. This car is finished in a beautiful Blue Metallic paint with a complementary Tan leather interior. This is a well kept car; the exterior is magnificent, benefiting from a solid paint job and upgraded wheels. Overall this car is stunning in looks and performance.

This 1983 Porsche 911 SC Coupe is powered by her original 6 cylinder 3.0 engine (rebuilt at about 80,000 miles) which is coupled to her original 5 Speed manual transmission. The car has been meticulously maintained throughout it's life and she has no mechanical issues. No smoke on startup or when running; she is a beauty. Following is a list of what has been done to her over the years:

- Lowered 2" front and rear
- Bump steered and properly aligned
- Replaced rear tires 1 month ago
- Installed 9" Fuch replica wheels on rear axles, moved 7" original Fuchs to front axles
- Original 6" Fuch wheels will be provided as part of the sale
- Repaired high beam switch at directional stalk
- Short shift kit (OEM part)
- Installed manual throttle lever
- Stainless steel heater boxes
- Stainless steel muffler
- Replaced oil return tube seals
- Replaced oil cooler seals
- Replaced oil pressure switch
- Replaced front main seal
- Installed turbo valve covers
- Replaced oil strainer gaskets
- Rebuilt camshaft chain tensioners
- Replaced camshaft chain rails
- Replaced chain tensioner housing gaskets
- Installed MSD electronic ignition
- Replaced spark plug wires with high tensione MSD wires
- Removed fuel injection system with intake and replaced with PMO type 46 carbs
- Recurved distributor for new carb setup
- Installed velocity stack intake screens
- Installed pressure adjustment block for fuel pump

We have retained the original fuel injection system complete and will furnish it with the car when sold. Additionally, all A/C hoses remain with the vehicle making re-installation fairly easy. We have The original rear condenser as well as the compressor engine mount, but no compressor. Also included in the sale will be the new headliner which was never installed.

The owner of this car has himself maintained the car for years. At one time he was in California where he worked for a DeTommaso dealership, then a Ferrari dealership. He returned to Massachusetts after receiving offer to work for Porsche at a Porsche dealership and was a factory trained mechanic. He raced with a Porsche sanctioned team for two years as lead mechanic, afterwhich he continued racing in Formula V, and later Formula 5000. He knows his stuff when it comes to Porsches and has applied his expertise in the care and maintenance of this car.

This is a car for a collector and needs to be driven; it boasts the look of a fast car. The value of these cars has been increasing each quarter and will most likely continue on an upward swing for years to come. There will only be less of them in the future and many are shipping overseas everyday. If you are a serious collector, you cannot afford to let the opportunity to own this pass you by. We have priced this vehicle to provide you the best deal on a car of this caliber. If you need any assistance with financing please let me know.
