Description of 1988 Porsche 924 S - Special Edition

This is a 1988 Porsche 924S Special Edition 5spd manual transmission. build code #756. This is a very rare One of 500 built, intended for the U.S. market, and one of only 980 total built for world wide sales. Built as a lighter weight Club Sport. The build codes for this car are #18- 3 spoke Leather Steering wheel, #C02- Catalytic Converter, #756-Special Edition, #030 Sport Suspension pkg, #160 Cassette Radio Blaupunkt, #360 Splash Guards, #657 Power Steering, #990 Cloth seats. The #030 sport suspension included factory Coilovers in the front with thicker sway bars, and Koni Shocks on all four corners. This vehicle appears to be wearing the originals but rides smooth and firm. The factory cloth fabric can be seen in the door cards. The front and rear seats have been reupholstered at some point with vinyl holding up "great" with only some wear and small tear on the driver's side seat. The dashboard has cracks but looks better than most for this age. This car has many new parts, two owner's manuals, radio manual, and two keys. The driver's door lock is beginning to act up but it works with the key. The factory fabric can still be purchased at WERK924 online if you wish to restore the seats. I have spent countless hours fixing, cleaning and restoring this survivor. It is my passion to work on Porsche cars and upon finding this car I just couldn't let it fall in the wrong hands. The rear hatch locks, mechanism and electric motor have been cleaned, and tuned to open and close as it should. The hatch drains have been cleaned and restored to like new, the hatch seals, the door seals and window seals on this car still show like new. The front valance has multiple dents and there is a paint chip on the front hood close to the header panel that is about the size of a pea. The paint looks original with dings, patina, scratches and with a good buff can be made to look like new. This is not a show car, but a darn good survivor. The interior color of the carpets are rich in color, with factory Porsche floor mats front and rear. Small oil leak from distributor housing. No power steering leaks or coolant. Fresh oil and filter change. I have added about 500 miles since purchase. The trip odometer works but not the reg. odometer. You are purchasing a used car with no warranty written or implied and being SOLD in as is condition. ???? Videos YouTube @FueledBy.Passion????
