Description of 1988 Porsche Other 924S

1988 Porsche 924S. the ONLY 924 with the same 160 hp engine as the 944. not the detuned 1987s. Also comes with a parts car thats approximatly 90% complete. The car is a dependable daily driver. It drives great and uses no oil or coolant. It passed new york state inspection 2 weeks ago. The interior is a 8 of 10. Drivers seat has a couple minor issues but not bad. Passenger seat has a spot the size of a dime and looks like paint. Dash cover over original cracked dash. Sunroof . power windows and mirrors work as they should. All instruments and warning lights work. JVC CD player. Emergency brake and all exterior lights work. Tires and brakes have less than 1000 miles on them. Timing belt replaced less than 3000 miles ago. This car comes with the original belly pan. compressor. tool kit and sunroof bag. The cargo cover is complete but does'nt work all that well. The engine runs smooth and strong and does not smoke. Transmision shifts smoothly and clutch doesnt slip. The body is in very good condition but needs paint. The paint on the hood is checked and the heat shieds are missing. There are two complete hoods that come with the car and both have the heat shields. The previous owner rolled the quarter panel wheel wells to accept wider tires. causing some minor damage to both panels. I have straightened the wheel well lip. There is no rust anywhere on the car. The air conditioning system runs but does not cool. The previous owner said the gas tank would leak fuel if it was filled. but I never tried it. There is a vacuum leak in the brake system that causes the engine to stutter when coming to a stop. I dont know where the leak is but am confident the parts car would have the part needed as the brakes worked fine on that car. The parts car is a 1987S and ran before I started taking parts off it. I suspect it has a bad head gasket because it smoked once it warmed up. Included with the car are timing belt tools. cone air filter and a few new parts. Don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have.
