Description of 1975 Renault R12 Break Wagon

1975 Renault R-12 Station Wagon.Clean title in hand, non-op status (no due fees), 1975 model year, no smog required in California.
The car is still a project, non-running at the moment, but it is a rolling and steering vehicle and it can be maneuvered with ease. The car sat for a long time without an engine in it. In the past year, a brand new 843 crate engine was installed, new old stock found in New York area at a former Renault dealership location. The electrical part around the engine has to be sorted out, fuel lines, coolant hoses and various sensors still need to be installed. It has a 395-11manual 5 speed transaxle. The suspension is installed, brakes installed, electrical fuel pump with new filter installed, the gas tank is fine, Renault AMIL wheels with new tires all around, matching spare wheel.Shocks and brake calipers were installed new about 4 years ago. Also the entire exhaust system is solid. The car is complete, I do have all the interior parts, trim, console, etc, even if they might not be pictured. There is no rot, solid floors and rails all around, some surface rust but nothing bad.The original 843 engine of the car is also included in the sale. This one is taken apart, the pistons and sleeves are still installed in the block. The crankshaft, camshaft and cylinder head were completely redone by a machine shop. Everything else that goes with the engine will be included, intake/exhaust manifolds, carburetor, valve cover, oil pan, clutch/pressure plate and bunch of nuts & bolts.I believe that originally the car was equipped with a 4-speed transaxle and at one point it was replaced with a 5 speed. Since the 5 speed is longer, it looks like the floor of the car was slightly modified with a riveted aluminum box mounted on the inside. Solid, but definitely not factory. When i got this car, it was hit in the front left fender and because i could not find a replacement fender at the time, the fix was done just by hammering out the dents. The glass is good all around, all the window cranks work fine, the windshield has a small chip in it and some scratches from the windshield wipers. The interior is complete, i do have also the original interior dome light cover, seats are good, the driver seat vinyl shows some cracks in the side bolster and the seam is starting to come apart slightly. The exterior is OK, i got it a long time ago, just like it is pictured, i believe someone started to prep the exterior for a paint job. The rear bumper is missing the left rubber trim. I do have the original chrome trim pieces and also a set of brand new ones (wagon specific) purchased last year from Europe.
The car is located in North Hollywood, CA 91605.
I do have an online album with over 300 pictures that show in more detail the whole car, inside-out including under car pictures.Since ebay will not let me post a link inside this ad, if you're interested, send me a message and i will send you the link to the online album.
Feel free to ask me any questions. This is my 4th R12 here in the US not to mention that i also owned several R17, R8 models.
