Description of 1965 Replica/Kit Makes Cobra 427 Body Style

This factory built Superformance Cobra is in excellent condition. The engine which was upgraded bya previous owner from a 351 to a 408 andwas completely and professionally rebuilt less than 200 miles/1-month ago. The engine received all new bearings, ings, eals, askets, oned cylinders, olished crank and refreshed heads and new plugs. The engine and drivetraincomponents are as follows:

  • Windsor 351 block stroked to a 408 which is rated at 500HP and 515 ft. lbs. of torque
  • Eagle Crank shaft and H-beam rods
  • SRP/JE forged pistons
  • Edelbrock Victor Jr. heads with roller rockers
  • Comp. Cams with hydraulic rollers (576/306 duration)
  • Air Gap Intake with Holley HP 750 DP carb.
  • Aviaid oil pan with oil cooler and SS plumbing
  • MSD 6420 Ignition System with rev limiter
  • Ceramic coated headers and complete SS dual exhaust (sounds sweet)
  • Holley HP electric fuel pump and SS plumbing throughout
  • Aluminum radiator with dual thermostatically controlled fans. (no overheating problems during FL summer)
  • Lakewood scatter shield with L/W flywheel and Mcleod dual disc clutch
  • Tremec 3550 5-spd. tranny
  • 373 posi rear end
  • Halibrand style knock off wheels with 245/295 3-yr. old tires (Good tread)
  • The car is painted in beautiful Monza red with the proper black interior and period correct lap belts. It has correct Smith gauges with reverse speedometer and Lucas switches. The chrome is excellent. The car has complete and like new weather gear including a full toneau cover. I would rate the paint as a8.5 out of 10. It has clear cover in all the right places. The clear cover is blemished in a few small spots on the lower nose but it did not appear to penetrate the paint and is not very noticeable. This car is in the style of a gentlemen's street car without the typical roll hoop and the side pipes (hard to find). Great noise behind you but not in your ear. It turns heads and gets thumbs-up wherever it goes. If you were to have ordered an originalCobra for the street this is what it would have looked like.

  • Car is for sale locally therefore, Reserve the right to end this auction without notice.

Note: Car is titled as a 1965 Cobra in Florida. The title is clear.
