The following was taken from an appraisal report dated 2007. Not much has changed.
Exterior CosmeticsThe coachwork is in very good to excellent condition; no dings, ents or misalignments noted on the body other than some scratches on rear passenger side fender. The paintwork is in very good original condition with only someminor blemishes and cracking. The brightwork is in very good to excellent condition including the window frames, umpers, ascot and grille. The wheels and tires (new) are correct and in very good condition. The rubber window and door seals are in very good condition. The side glass, ear glass and front windscreen are in very good condition.
Interior Cosmetics, oot and TrunkAll interior materials are correct and in very good to excellent condition. The leather seats and door panels are in very good condition. The wool headliner is in very goodcondition. The wool carpets are in very good condition showing only some signs of normal wear. The wood dash, oor cap rails and rear cabinetry are in very goodcondition. The under-dash hand tools are complete and in very good condition. The boot is in very good condition and included all road tools.
Engine Bay and UndercarriageThe engine bay is in very good original condition with normal wear and paint degrading for the age. No indications of any major leaks or electrical problems. No signs ofmodifications or missing items were evident in the engine compartment. The undercarriage looked solid with no major indications of rust or collisions.
MechanicalNo comprehensive tests were performed on the electrical, echanical, rive train or brakes. However, witnessed the car being started and driven and it appeared to be inproper operating condition. The gauges, lectrical switches and lights all worked properly. The engine, rakes, uspension, ransmission and electrical systems appear tobe in correct and proper operating condition.
Overall AssessmentBuilt in the United Kingdom from 1946 to 1959, he Rolls-Royce Silver Wraiths were the factory coach built vehicles. Hooper bodied vehicles were very well made and thecoachbuilders to the Royal Family at the time. The vehicle is invery good to excellent overall condition Nevertheless, ue to the high cost of repairs, arts and materials these vehicles can quickly lose their value if left to deteriorate. Theextent of mechanical issues is beyond the scope of this appraisal. However, t appears that this car is in exceptional operating condition with no significant cosmetic or mechanical flaws evident. The car, hen viewed, ooked and ran remarkably well. The high quality of care and maintenance this car received was apparent throughout the vehicle. Any future owner would surely appreciate the style and original condition of this classic Rolls-Royce. These motor cars have a large following and increase in value on a regular basis due to their limited production and current demand, utstanding style and quality.
