1989 ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SPUR This is a NO RESERVE auction, eaning that the highest bidder at the end of the auction wins, egardless of the final price! Exquisitely maintained and pampered Rolls Royce Silver Spur with less than 64k original miles. Several thousand dollars was recently spent to fully strip and repaint the car in original factory colors resulting in a nearly flawless exterior presentation. The interior is similarly in excellent condition, ith beautifully preserved wood, lean Connolly leather hides with no cracks and near-spotless Wilton wool carpeting throughout. This Silver Spur drives and operates flawlessly. It starts at the first touch of the key and runs and drives just as smoothly as a Rolls Royce should. All of the warning lamps function correctly and illuminate upon start-up for an initial check, efore quickly disappearing, ndicating that all systems are working properly (please see the included videos at the bottom). The steering and brakes are spot on and have no issues. Recent oil and filter change, nd fresh, omprehensive hydraulic service with all hydraulics operating flawlessly. The underside of this vehicle is just as clean as the rest of the car, s bone dry, nd does not drip a drop of oil or fluid. The 6 ¾ liter V8 engine starts, dles, nd runs with absolute precision and the GM Turbo 400 transmission shifts flawlessly. There is enough torque available that any speed desired is attained with just a press of the accelerator. Having new whitewall tires all the way around, his car is so quiet and smooth that you will literally sometimes forget that it is running. Perhaps the most important aspect to consider when purchasing a pre-owned Rolls Royce is the vehicle's service history. A poorly maintained or neglected car can cost thousands - sometimes tens of thousands - of dollars to make right. This Silver Spur has always been professionally maintained and was fully inspected by an authorized Rolls Royce technician before being posted for sale. One will be hard-pressed to find a car that has been as meticulously kept as this one. After nearly a decade, 989 was the last year of the Mark I Silver Spur's. Cars built during this time are regarded by most enthusiasts to be the best and most reliable examples. As with any historic car, here is some expected, ge-related wear. All inside gauges, ontrols and switches functions exactly as they should including all lights, he dual-zone climate control system including economy mode, c condenser, ow and high fan settings, resh and recirculating vent settings, -way driver and front passenger power seats, ower mirrors, ower door locks, indshield wipers, ashers and headlight washers. The very few items that are not perfect are the front and rear right windows that will probably require new motors and the driver's window that goes down, ut needs some assistance going up. A new radio was recently installed with Bluetooth, atellite, nd Pandora capability but will need basic troubleshooting to function. This car was acquired after it was parked in a garage during a fire, nd as such, ill come with a title marked rebuilt. The car did not incur any damage other than some smoke damage to the exterior- most notably to the previously, actory-applied Everflex (vinyl) roof, hich was removed and professionally repainted. Most people choose to have these taken off regardless, s they are moisture traps and often fade, tretch and tear. I recently took this car on a 400 mile trip and it performed flawlessly. I would have no hesitation getting into this car now and driving it anywhere. Inspections are most welcome and certainly encouraged.
